Fire Nation Capital: The Palace - A Sunny Day ~ Noriaki Topic (CLOSED)

~ NORIAKI

A small boy made his way through the polished halls of the palace. He donned bright yellow colors, signifying his Lightbending abilities. The youth's hair was a bluish-black color, one side combed over to conceal his left eye. Moreover, this child was fully recognized as the son of the youthful Waterbending master, Kiari, and his wife Haru.

Noriaki was bored; it seemed that there was nothing to do in the palace. He wasn't even allowed to leave with Daija, his chaperone, anymore to go out into the city. His Lightbending teacher was ill, so Noriaki couldn't train even if he felt like it.

Usually he would fill this void in his life by bugging Tsukaia. In fact, the girl was Noriaki's main form entertainment. He loved to bug her and get into her things, even if it meant he'd end up being dangled just over the banister until either Kouzai, Kiari, Haru, Tsukiyomi or Tekara found him and set him free. Whatever; it was fun.

Now, just thinking about Tsukaia filled him with anger.

He sighed. "I'm boored," the boy whined, stopping in front of the many cieling high windows. Outside, the garden glistened with small streams and colorful flowers. He stood there watching it, for a while.

Tsukiyomi walked through the palace halls and turned a corner, this was his favorite part of the palace. A large red hall with green carpets and large windows. Tsukiyomi noticed Noriaki standing in the middle of the hall, he looked bored. Tsukiyomi walked over to him and smiled "Hey" he said "What's up?"

Noriaki glanced at him. "Nothing," he grumbled. "There's never anything to do." Sighing, he scuffed the floor with his shoe. "How did you ever survive?"

"I left this place young that's how" he said "And went travelling and trained...and trust me it wasn't easy, with Sasuno'o trying to find every justifiable excuse to kill me" Tsukiyomi laughed and looke down at Noriaki "Have you ever used a sword before?" asked Tsukiyomi.

Noriaki blinked. "I've used wands, but that's all my instructor ever lets me. He says I'm too young," he told him, the insinct to be nervous completely evaporated. He'd known Tsukiyomi all his young life. The fact that he was the prince didn't seem the phase him.

Tsukiyomi gave a sly smile "I say screw your instructor...meet me by the stables in 5 minutes...I'm going to go grab my old sword in my room...and I'm going to train you how to use it, how does that sound?" he smiled again laughing.

Nori's eyes grew large. "Do you mean it?" he called after Tsukiyomi. "You're going to teach me how to use a sword? That's so cool!"

Noriaki was frozen for a moment, and then he raced down the corridor, attempting to find an exit. He was excited; finally he was going to use a real weapon! It made him shiver in anticipation.

He reached the stables, panting exhaustedly. Here, the horses brayed and neighed, some slumbering quietly in the heat of the day. There were another set for the dragons, only accesible to royalty and nobles. Noriaki's dragon Solena was still small, but she was perfect for his age. He huffed; he wasn't even allowed to fly her yet. Not until he turned fourteen.

He waited under an oak, pacing.

Tsukiyomi walked out into the courtyard that lead to the stables. He smiled as he waved two swords to show Noriaki he got them. He brought a wooden sword and a normal Jian. Tsukiyomi stabbed them both into the ground and looked at Noriaki "Are you ready to train?" he asked.

Noriaki raced over, panting by the time he go there. "Of course, I am!" he said exuberantly. "Gimme one!"

"Ah ah ah!" he said "Hold up, first of all you need to practice with the wooden sword...then we can move to the Jian....now pick up the wooden sword" he told Noriaki.
