Healing: After the Summit

Sasuno'o fell against the wall he was in pain and loosing blood fast. He removed his armor and his robes as Tsukaia advised untill only his pants were left. He lay against the wall, he pale skin even paler from bloodloss. Sasuno'o's shoulder had 3 holes in it from the arrows that were shot at him, they were close together and looked like they were part of a collective injury. Sasuno'o grabbed Tsukaia's, he held onto it. He needed help, and fast.

Tsukaia's eyes were hard and serious. She knelt behind her love, and said in a soft but firm voice, "This will be very painful Susano'o. You might not want to be conscious for what is about to happen." She fully intended to knock her husband out for this procedure; it'll spare her his cries of agony. But she knew she would have to have his permission.

She had her needles ready to sew the wound, and special oasis water she'd stolen from Kiari during her stay at the palace. She wasn't a waterbender; so she doubted she could heal him fully, but the oasis water should help a great deal.

Sasuno'o grunted with pain as he moved into a more comfortable position. He looked lovingly at Tsukaia and kissed her "Do what you must...my love" he said weakly "As long as it helps."

Tsukaia raised her hand and tilted it sideways. Knife-formation. Taking a deep breath, she brought it down as fast as she could, the side colliding with the pressure point at the base of his school. Catching her loved one's shoulders as he slumped, Tsukaia laid him on her back and got to work.

Before she could heal the wound with the water from the oasis, Tsukaia had to cauterize it with her Firebending. A flicker of fire alighted at her fingertip, sending a soft swirl of a special fragrance throughout the room. Immediately she felt Sasuno'o's heart slow, and his breathing grow deeper. Smiling, she cleaned a wound as quickly as she could with a soft, sterilized cloth, then darted a finger, fire and all, into and out of one.

She continued the process gingerly, until the blood flow had stemmed. By then Susano'o's breathing and heartbeat were dangerously faint, not due to the effects of her Firebending.

Tsukaia frowned and uncapped the sacred water. She had plenty. She poured a steady trickle over the wound and saw the water glow very faintly. Finally, she stitched them carefully and wrapped the wound in bandages. Only time would tell if Susano'o made it.

Tsukaia draped a heavy blanket over her love, and propped him up with pillows, She took a bath and waited, curled up beside her husband's unmoving frame.

Sasuno'o started to open his eyes. He looked at the bandages on his shoulders, he could see Tsukaia next to him. He smiled and rolled over, putting his arms around her and cuddling her, his muscular body wrapped around her smaller more delicate frame. "Thank you Tsukaia, you've saved my life twice" he said.

Tsukaia, who was deep in slumber, woke slowly to the sound of her husband's voice, and a feel of his warm arms around her. "Don't talk. Sleep," she mumbled quietly, only half-awake.

Sasuno'o kissed her "That's what I intend on doing" he said "Although you can't really consider it sleep" Sasuno'o weakly reached for the back of her dress "I'm not dead yet" he said.

Tsukaia blearily slapped his hands away, awakening more fully. "Your wound was critical," she told him. "Not tonight. Not until I believe you are completely healed."

Sasuno'o kissed her neck and cuddled with her more "What better way to prove my recovery..." he said "I love you, is something wrong with that?"

"Yes, if it means your willing to kill yourself all over again just to make love to me," Tsukaia said, this time with a slight hint of playfulness entwined. "Not tonight, My Love. Rest."
