Kimi didnt even stand a chance. She saw the spear coming and tried to move out of its way. She thought she was in the clear. Then out of no where, a crushing intense burn came to her side. reaching down, she felt something cold and sticky. Sticky? Ice wasn't sticky? Kimi didn't dare to look down, her mind had already made up what was going on and she didn't feel like giving it the grace for her eyes to see the spear gabbing out of her side. It wasn't going to kill her, not at that angle, but by the Vermillion Emperor himself, that was going to hurt.

When she couldn't bare it any longer, Kimi looked.

Almost instantly, she regretted her decision. From going into this fight against the Avatar and a general, to staying in it to the bitter end. But as the ice began to melt and mix with Kimi's blood, her eyesight began to get fuzzy. Before she knew it, someone was at her side trying to talk to her. She couldn't hear a word they were saying, much less make out who they were. Kimi's legs could no longer support her, and she fell. Everything seemed to be happening in slow motion. Her legs gave way, a box of some sort was put under her to catch her fall, and she was quickly taken to the arena's medical tent.

It seemed as if the arena was used to deathly blows like this one was. Kimi couldnt stand, couldn't really move. So. her mind made up her next decision for her, and she fainted as she watched the lights of the medical tent stream above her fast paced gurney. The medical doctors were surprised to see her when she arrived, and had to wake her before they could operate. But as soon as her eyes opened, they started in on their work, sewing Kimi's side back together, clamping the blood veins that had been sliced open, reattaching the veins that were sliced through, and making every effort to keep her blood circulating through the rest of her body.

After it all, Kimi woke up with her water bender clothes back on, although very bloody from where the spike had sunk its point, under the arena. Stepping carefully as if to check the stability of her feet, Kimi slowly got out of bed. A sensor, synced up to the bed, began to go off and nurses rushed in. "Miss Hashiko, please sit down. You are far too weak to..." One nurse tried to tell her, only to be waved off.

"I am perfectly capable of determining my own strength and abilities, thank you." Kimi replied. She had lived, after that attack, and she wasn't going to let anyone tell her what she could or couldn't do anymore.
