Bree's search OPEN

"Mrs. Victoria, have you had any patients from the air temples through here? Or have you heard of anyone running into a bender named Tarlof. We are trying to locate him." Kimi asked as she lead Bree through the walkways of the tent to the open common room. A few young girls sat at a table munching on some dinner while a few others played a few games. Mrs. Victoria almost spun around on Kimi as she spoke Tarlof's name. "That name has been mentioned, although I can't seem to place where I heard it." Mrs. Victoria walked over to a make-shift desk and opened a book. "Yes, a group of people were searching for him as well. They however didn't arrive in the same conditions." She looked up at both of the girls before shaking her head. "I hope, Miss Hashiko, that you have placed yourself in good company." Kimi almost took a step back before answering her, "Mrs. Victoria, I have worked diligently under your watchful eye for years. I'm sure you would know before anyone else if I wasn't."

Bree snapped a little. ''who were they? where were they from? did they take tarlof? where were ther going?'' Bree kept asking more and more questions getting more agitated and talking faster with each one.

"Woah, woah, child. Please calm down." Mrs. Victoria looked at Bree with a bit of concern before returning to her book. "They were fire benders that had traveled along the pass between here and the fire nation. Their ship was badly damaged by something as they sailed through the Serpent's pass. After the wreckage, they came here for aid." Kimi stood quietly, taking in the information. "So, they didn't actually see Tarlof, they just heard about him?" she asked as she tried to calm Bree down. "They said a man sent them here, that he told them about the tent. However, they have no clue who the person was." Mrs. Victoria looked over at Bree as she replied and sighed. "How close are you to this Tarlof man? My dear, if you are too close to the person you are searching for, you may not find them easily, or in the condition in which you wish for. Be careful with your emotions." She said before closing the book. "This is all the information I can give you at the moment. The men who came in have already been returned to the fire nation to complete whatever mission they were on."

the look of hope that had spread on her face suddenly vanished, only to be replaced with dispair. she was on the verge of tears but she held them back. ''did they say where they had met the man?''

Mrs. Victoria could only shake her head. "They were not here very long, child. I only know that they were going back to the fire nation once they were healed. They were here but a day thanks to the other blood benders here." With the last remark, Mrs. Victoria gave Kimi a harsh stare. Kimi knew it was because she had left them after learning all she could, but she wouldn't change her past now. "Bree, I believe that is seriously the only thing she knows about it." Kimi looked away from Mrs. Victoria's scowl just long enough for the elder lady to notice a nurse doing something wrong and rush off to correct them. As soon as Mrs. Victoria was gone, Kimi dove into the book. She knew it's pages well and could find the right date. "Come on, Bree, lets head out. We have to go get you something to eat before you faint in here." Kimi rushed Bree out the door before anyone else could stop them.

''ok'' bree said slowly. she stifled a sniffle and followed kimi out. ''what did you find out from the book?''

Kimi shot Bree a look to be quiet for a few more steps before replying to her. "Their names. We are looking for a group of brothers. Their last name was Clark. They were actually staying on the ship that got destroyed. They were attacked by a fire bender wearing water bender's clothes. He blocked the attack from the ship by diverting it. A small group of fire benders then turned against them and attacked the ship." Kimi kept walking, heading back to the sky bison. "Come on, we have a lead, that and Mrs. Victoria hates that I left her."

''Why did you leave?'' bree asked, eager to change the subject. she was already on the verge of tears and they had their destination. there was nothing else that she could do at the moment.

Kimi had hoped she wouldn't say anything, but figured there wasn't anything bad about why she left. With a sigh, she turned to Bree. "I left because I had learned everything I possibly wanted to know about healing. I just wanted to learn how to use my blood bending to heal instead of control. I hate controlling someone with their life force and Mrs. Victoria wanted to teach me how. When I realized what she was showing me, I left them. I didn't want anything to do with a group that teaches people a technique like that." Kimi told her, trying to stay brief. That and Mrs. Victoria secretly hates all blood benders for something that happened in her past, she thought to herself as they walked. Kimi tried not to think about the years of hatred she lived under while studying with them. They were nice people deep down, but you had to get past the hatred and despise first.

'so' bree said. ''you wanted to heal but she taught you to control?''
