Trira put her hands on the ground and closed her eyes. She could also feel the doors breaking. Then she had a stupid idea. She tried to help Lu over the distance. It was not easy and it did not work first. But she also felt that Lu was growing weak. So she tried harder and suddenly she managed it. Together they were holding the door now. Trira had still closed her eyes and thought about everything she could do if the rebellions managed to get inside. She had some plans, but none of them was really good. Then only one thing got into her mind. She had heared long ago of the Avatar status. She hoped that she would not need it, but if it would be their only chance to survive. But she did not told Lu about her thoughts.

The doors were continued to bo hit and tried to be forced open. He heard shouts for earthbenders, and some people to find another way in. In a matter of moments they would get in the building no matterwhat. The rocks holding the door with Lu was breaking and crumbling to pieces. His arms getting weaker and weaker then in the middle of the door some light was shinning through. They were opening the door from the othen end, the doors woul be open in a matter of seconds even though Trira and Lu was holding it. The crack began to get bigger and bigger until the doors flew open sending Lu flying backwards. He slid on the hard floor and then finnaly stopped. He pulled himself together and then stood up trembling a little. He had a medium sized cut on his forehead from the door and bruises and cuts all over his body. Lu looked at Trira and gave her a ressuring smile, he looked at the door as the rebels came in the building. He could not bend, he was to weak. He could not run he looked over at Trira and mouthed. "Run." He looked at the men as they surrounded him and some grabbed Trira and held her tight. A middle aged man with a sword and some symbol on his shirt walked up to Lu. He must be the leader or something, "We finnaly got you old man. Now, what should we do with you?" He asked outloud. Lu looked at Trira and mouthed "Don't do a thing." Lu looked back at the man and put his head down.

As the door finally opened, Trira was also hit by a stone. She could do anything as the rebels got inside. But exactly at the moment they grabbed her, everything was done. The last thing Trira could see normally was that Lu wanted to say her something. But she did not saw what. Suddenly, her eyes began to glow. She had reached the avatar status. Trira had even later no idea how she had got there. Maybe it was her fear for Lu, or it was the hopelesness of the situation. Later she also thought it could have been a mixture of both. But at that moment even the pain in her leg stopped. She made two flames to hurt the men holding her. Then she made a circle of fire around Lu, the leader and herself. Her eyes were still glowing and she put a big stone out of the wall. "Let him go.", she said. Her voice had changed.

The men around Lu all looked at Trira their faces changed and they all either movd back or ran out the door. The leader and Lu just starred at Trira. The man laughed a bit and grabbed Lu and put the sword to Lu's throat. "Touch me and his blood will be all over the floor in a matter of seconds." Lu looked up at her, she was in the avatar state. Could she even hear them? Could she just exit out of it?" The leadd moved back a little, still holding Lu, and said "I will do it, even if that means I die myself. If he dies my message to the Earth King is clear, we mean buissness even if every one in his family must die bu our hands." The man smirked and then moved the sword to where it was touching Lu's neck. Lu sighed and looked at Trira, "If you can hear me Trira, don't try to do anything to him. No matter that you do if you try to hit him he will kill me before any style of bending hits him."

Trira turned her eyes to Lu. "Believe me, he will have no time to kill you.", she said to him. But nobody could be sure that really she had said that. Then she turned to the leader. She moved a little bit forward. And exactly this step should change the whole situation. Because this simple step had been a move. In the part of one second, earth moved around the feet of the leader and pulled him down into the ground. Air was blowing between Lu and the leader to part them and the fire moved nearer, even if this was not very fast. It was getting hotter in the circle, but Trira tried everything that Lu would not feel it.

Lu felt the sword move from his neck and now Lu was facing Trira with a smile on his face. The leader was ony halfway in the ground, about waist and below was in the earth and the sword was two arm lenghts away from him. "You stupid avatar I am an earthbender I can get out of this." He shouted and then laughed. Then the fire started to get closer and he looked at the sword and at Lu he bended and the sword began to move closer to him. He grabbed it aimed it at Lu's chest and then threw it. The sword went through the fire and then hit Lu in the back and he fell to his knees. He looked up at Trira his eyes wide open in shock and then he fell on his side not moving or breathing.

Trira looked with horror at Lu. Her anger grow and she let the fire move as fast as it could towards the leader. He burnt in his hole before he could free himself. Then Trira ran towards Lu and went on her knees. She was still in the avatar status because of the whole frustration. She knew she had a little bit of water with her and she tried to heal Lu with it. Even if she could not bend water till now in her normal status, she could in the avatar status. Trira was breathing quietly, only concentrating on the healing process. She hoped it would work. And something inside her hoped that she could get out of the avatar status when she had managed to do it. "You cannot die now.", she whispered. Now she knew that she had not much time left. Soon she would be in her normal status again.

The leader starred at Lu with a smirk on his face and then looked up in fear at Trira. He held up his hands as the fire hit him. Lu was on the floor lifeless and then he started to cough and looked over at her. "What are you doing?" He asked already knowing what she was doing. "I have lived a full life avatar, I have been all over the world. Mastered earth bending, fell in love, had a family, ruled a nation, saw my own son take my throne." He coughed a bit and continued "Tell me son to rule like I did and that I love him. Now, get your hands off of me please. I don't like to be touched." He smiled and chuckled a bit. "Oh Lu, about to die and still laughing at yourself. Take my body to the palace so I can be buried propely. Be safe while doing it." He smiled and then closed his eyes and put his head on the ground.

A tear appeared on Triras face and then the avatar status ended. The water fell on the floor. Trira was sitting next to Lu and cried. "No, no, no.", she said. She really felt bed. She had the feeling that she had not managed to do her job. But then she took him and carried him out of the old school. Outside she could see some of the rebels. But at the moment they could see her they ran away. Now Trira did not want to fight. Or better not in this moment. But she knew the dead of Lu had been the beginning of something she had to stop. Slowly she walked up to the palace, still the dead body in her arms. Her tears had stopped by now. Her face seemed hard somehow.

A guard was walking along the door and turned to Trira "Sorry miss you can't go in..." his voice trailed off as he saw the body she was carrying. It was Lu, he looked peaceful like he was sleeping. The guard turned and opened the doors of the palace. "You may go in." he bowed as Trira passed by and then closed the doors. Some servants was running down the hall holding some trays for the royal family and then their heads turned and saw Lu's lifeless body. They all stopped and the trays dropped and they starred. Akio was in a room with his family and he heard the noise, "One of the servants must have tripped I will see." He stood up and walked out the room and down the hall. Seeing that the servants were standing still and starring at the entrance. He walked up to them and asked "What happened?" One woman held up her arm and pointed at Trira holding Lu. Akio faced her and his facial expression changed and tears started to form. "What happened to him?!" he shouted as he ran up to his father.
