Shadow Lands: Palace of the Spirit King - Kiharu's Plight

Kagutsuchi dissapeared as the foot passed through his head. He appeared behind Kiharu his sword to her back "Enough of this....do not attempt to escape..." he said "It's futile...." Kagutsuchi looked at her "According to the deal...my conditions are, you must tolerate living at the palace for 3 months....within which you can't complain at all...understand?"

Kiharu glared, but a gleam of triumph flickered in her eyes. Three months and it was a gauranteed freedom. "Fine, I won't," she said. Kiharu stood completely still, waiting for him to remove the sword pointed at her spine. "Does that mean I won't have to stay in that room all day?"

Kagutsuchi sheathed his sword, looking back at her with a dark glare "As long as you promise not to try and escape" he said "Then you will be give a looser chain."

Kiharu glared back just as maliciously, breaking free of his grasp. "I am not a dog," she said icily. "Therefore I'm never chained." She glared at him, waiting for him to speak. Or at least reform the palace around her.

"By the way," she began. "When we get back to that place, you might want to issue me some new chambers. The old one is ... rather faulty." She smirked, peering at him levelly.

"Well....there are two other options for you....the room next to mine....or my room.." he said looking towards the ocean, the salt air blowing his hair around. "Though...it wont be hard to tell which one you want..." he said.

A kind of exasperated expression smoothed over Kiharu's face. "The one next to it," she said pointedly, dark eyes pointedly boring into the side of his face as he gazed out over the waters.

"Does it have windows?" she inquired, which would have been a rather suspicious question but seemed simple enough to her.

Kagutsuchi nodded "Of course...however...I wouldn't look so hopeful, they're sealed shut" he said "I told you...there is NO escape."

Kiharu rolled her eyes. "That wasn't even why I was asking," she said, a lingering unsult hanging at the end of her sentence. She remembered the deal, and already it was being put into effect.

"Can you take us back now?" she said as politely as she could. "I'm growing pretty stiff with this sword pointing at my vertebrae."

Kagutschi nodded "Very well" he said. He put away his sword and turned around, the scenery changing once more so that they were in the throne room of the palace. Kagutuchi walked over to his stone throne and sat "i'll have Senka show you to your room..." he said.

Kiharu peered at him levelly, not replying. He glanced around herself, covertly absorbing the details of his palace with mere curiosity. It was extravagent, yes, but to Kiharu it didn't match up to the Fire Nation's own beautiful palace. She eased away from Kagutsuchi, not quite comfortable with being too close to him, and wait for Senka.
