Bree's search OPEN

"What came over me," Bree asked herself as she dabbed her eyes. Seeing the tea she quickly picked it up and started to sip at it. After a moment she realized that her cup was empty and that tala was alone at the beach.

Exiting the room she looks at Kimi. "Excuse me. I have to go check on something. Could we walk and talk?''

Kimi looked over at the door as it opened and Bree walked out. She moved over to her as she listened to her concerns. "Of course, I don't mind. Getting out of the bar would be good for me as well. I'll let you lead on." Kimi told her, handing the key to the back room over to Collins before grabbing a coat and heading for the door.

Bree smiled for the first time since being in the bar. It was a pretty smile but it was almost strained. She was trying to look happier. She wasn't sure it was working. She followed Kimi out of the bar. Turning towards the beach Bree started walking slowly.

"I'm sorry for the way I acted back there. I'm just really scared. Tarlof is a really old friend. I was hoping you had seen him." She precedes to give a discription of Tarlof. "I've known him since I was 6. My master had an old friend in the southern water tribe. The first time we met we hit it off. I was supposed to have visited him a week ago, but..." Bree takes a shuttering breath. 'Why am I so torn up like this' She thinks to herself.

Rounding the corner Tala roars. Her hay was gone and she was wading in the shallow waters. "Kimi, this is Tala. She is my sky bison" Bree said. She then whispered "She is the runt of the litter but don't tell her that. She is touchy about her size"

Kimi smiled at Bree, hoping to help lift her mood as they walked. She followed Bree around, never judging a single step and hoping Bree knew where she was headed. She listened incredibly to the description Bree gave her of this Tarlof person and tried to think of if she had ever seen him. "Bree, I'm going to be plainfully honest with you. This Tarlof, well he doesn't sound like anyone I've helped or aided. That doesn't mean he isn't around, just that he wasn't injured when he arrived or while he was here. So I guess that's a bit of good news, right?" Kimi spoke softly, trying to keep Bree from shattering as she spoke. "Don't worry, we'll find your friend and I fully understand. Friends mean a lot to people, especially if they go missing like yours has." Kimi followed Bree to the beach and stopped walking. "Oh no, that's a. Is that a sky bison? Who has sky bisons anymore? I thought they were extin-.." Kimi stopped talking as she looked at Bree. Sky bisons weren't native to the Earth kingdom, and yet an Earth bender had one? Something didn't add up. "Your not an Earth bender." The realization hit Kimi like a cold fish.

Kimi walked up to Tala gingerly, having not been around a sky bison before, she was suspicious of what she would do. Reaching a small hand up to pet the large animal, Kimi sighed and held her breath until her hand touched the bison's fur. "Well, aren't you the nicest bison I've ever met." She told Tala, smiling at Bree. "This is possibly one of the best animals I've ever had the privilege of meeting."

"Thanks," Bree replied, cheering up a little. She always liked it when someone complimented Tala. Tala just rumbled. "She thanks you too" Bree said chuckling a little.

She has been my companion since we were both little. We were both outcasts. I shied away a little and she always followed'" she said reaching up to pet Tala, smiling. "She's like my sister."

Looking out over the sea, Bree remembered one of the reasons she came here. "Is the beach safe here? I have been wanting to go swimming? You know, to get my mind off of my search? I bought swim wear for just such an event." Bree suddenly got a mischievous grin. "I might even ride the unagi"

Kimi couldn't help but laugh as she looked out over the water. "I have never had a person injured by these waters." She told Bree before moving into the water herself. The water was calm and cool against her skin. Each wave welcomed her in as she moved farther into the ocean. A small joy swelled inside her as she slowly began to move her hands with the water. "Come on in, Bree." She called, bending the water into different forms and shapes like a dance. Moving gracefully around, swaying with the ocean's natural currents, pulling a small bit of the water up and around her before allowing it to splash back into the ocean.

Brew laughed at Kimi bending and stopped down to her swim wear. Gathering her chi she pulled air around her and forced it behind, launching herself 10 feet into the air before swan diving into the water, pulling air in behind her. Once under water she forced. The air out and up causing water to fly every were. When she surfaced, she smiled and started laughing at a drenched Tala. She spent the rest of the evening swimming and relaxing. She even sunbathed while talking to Kimi.

"Well Kimi, you know what I'm doing here. But why are you?''

Kimi stopped playing with the water long enough to watch Tala get drenched and laughed. So, She's an airbender, which menas her friend is more than likely an air bender as well. Kimi thought, leaning back to float on top of the water around her. She starred up at the clouds as they drifted past, listening to Bree's questions and letting the water sway her around. "Me? Well, I recently learned a new bending skill and have been working to perfect it. Other than that, I'm merely traveling around and enjoying the vast world we have." Kimi almost laughed at herself, hearing the words 'vast world' come across her lips. Laughing made her loose concentration and fall into the water around her. It didn't take long for her instincts to kick in and force her to swim back toward shore where she could at least place her feet on the ocean floor.

Bree chuckled when Kimi fell through the surface of the water. When Kimi surfaced and started swimming towards the shore Bree noticed that sunset was fast approaching. She stood, walked over to her saddle and pulled out her tent. she started to spread it out.

As she worked she kept talking. "So you have traveled the world. Have you ever made it to Ember Island?"

Kimi let her momentum bring her lay on the shore as the sun set in front of her. "You know, you could just spend the night with me. Collins keeps that back room for me, but there's a side room that you could stay in. Just a warning, he uses it for the earth benders who are too drunk to walk home." She called out as she watched Bree pull the tent out. The thought of a nice warm bed beaconed at Kimi, and she was almost positive Bree would welcome it as well. The ocean and beach were great to swim in, but had a nasty issue with people at night. Between hunters looking for prey to thieves looking for anything of value, the beach wasn't particularly a hot spot at night. "I may be able to talk Collins into letting Tala sleep in the back of the bar. There's a nice fenced in yard back there and no one can get in to it."
