Midnight vs. Stephy3A

The tournament match between Layla Hurashi and Tenchi Princess Audurna Ezofuji-no-Tsukiyomi will now begin! The rules are as follows:


Now that that's out of the way, let the match, BEGIN!

Midnight will have the right to strike first!

Layla walks into the arena, looking from left to right. She wonders how it's going to go down. Will she lose? Will she win? It didn't really matter, she was just happy to have a fight after months of practicing, she'll be able to battle an actual person rather than a dummy or herself. The day brought in a cool breeze now and then, pushing the dirt and dust from the ground up into the air, blurring her vision for a slight moment. Just then she spots her opponent coming into the arena. She is amazed by her beauty and admires her elegant facial features. "Wow, you're very pretty!" She'd say a giant smile on her face. "I hope we can stay friends after this!" Just then Layla sends herself into a backflip sending a blast of air towards Audurna.

Audurna entered into the arena, and could hear the cheer of the Imperial Citizens who had come to watch her, a member of the Royal Family, participate in the contest. She loved the attention, she had to admit, however, she was only a minor member of the family, and knew she did not deserve half as much praise as she deserved, she was only happy to be representing the Royal Family like this--that was enough for her.

Audurna looked at her opponent, and could hear her compliment on her good looks. Audurna smiled, and returned a low bow, "Thank you kindly," she said with a smile, "Your compliment is much appreciate, and I return the sentiment to you." Audurna could not help but speak eloquently, such was what she had been taught, and she could not change that. "I hope you know, however," said Audurna, "That I will not go lightly on you, despite your kind words. I hope you will not go lightly on me either. I may be royalty, but I am very well capable of taking the beating."

Audurna's opponent, Layla, obliged to Audurna's request and performed a back flip, sending a blast of air towards Audurna. The Tenchi Princess smiled, she was confident and prepared, and spun around into a stance, and blasted a large ball of fire into the air. The air caused the flames to swell, but the sheer force of the wind prevented Audurna from turning the attack on her opponent, and instead the clashing forces dissipated into thin air as the flames and the air exhausted each other. "Smart of you to allow the wind to be strong enough so that I could not counter," smiled Audurna, still in her stance, "Now let us see if I may retaliate at a caliber as high." Audurna spun again, and jumped into the air, releasing two flaming kicks which sent fireballs at Layla. As she landed she swung her hands in an downwards x, sending a flaming cross as her enemy.

Layla would watch as her attack renders useless. She then sees Audurna send some fire attacks her way. Layla quick makes a move as though she was throwing a baseball, but rather a swipe of air. This would dissipate the two fireballs, but not being enough to stop the 3rd attack of the crossed flames. The attack sends her back a few feet, causing some burns on her forearms, trying to block it. Layla looks up, a smile still on her face. "That was a great move! Let's see if I can make a comeback." Layla sends herself into a sprint towards Audurna, acting as if she was to body slam her. Instead, at the last second, she sends herself into a slide, using her palms to send out two blast of sound waves towards Audurna.

Audurna smiled, as she watched her attacks be blocked. She never expected them to land anyway, they were simply a way of heating up the fight. First attacks rarely land anyway. However, her opponent was determined to begin her come back as an attacker; something Audurna encouraged. "I am glad that you do not lay down to die once your plans are foiled," she smiled, "You are gaining greater and greater favour with me as we continue this fight. But as I once said, I shall not go lightly on you; I will fight you to my fullest extent."

Her opponent understood this, or so Audurna assumed, and continued towards her at top speed. She looked as if she was going to tackle Audurna, causing Audurna to sink lower into her stance and ground herself, bracing for attack. But the attack never came. Instead, the attack came in the form of two blasts of sound. In the small time given to her, Audurna jumped into the air and spun like a top, then as she turned and twisted, she became perpendicular to the ground, with her head facing downwards, and the two blasts of sound passed beside her, but just barely.

Audurna smiled as she landed, then moved her hand from closed to open in front of her mouth and blew outwards, moving the hand wards her opponent as she did. As she did this, a blast of flame erupted from her mouth, and headed towards Layla.
