Arriving at the Water Tribe Territory

Shan nodded and then turned. "Very good observation skills Dakota." Shan continued, "A council member must observe anything and everything. Remember places, people, and events to get along in life. It if a key aspect in every council members life." He continued to walk and then looked around at the people working. They looked so poor, yet so happy. They looked as if there was no war that brought them here and it was by their own will. He smiled to himself and then looked ahead, he could see the docks. "It is not that big of an island."

Dakota smiled as he listened and followed Shan. He looked around at the different people. They were wearing different color clothes but Dakota could tell that they were all water tribe. Dakota thought about what Shan said about remembering important and useful information. They came down to the docks and started looking for somewhere they could sell their stuff.

Shan started to look through the different selections of fruit, fish, and meats. The meats cost a lot and the fish were the less expensive. He guessed they were that because they had water all around them, but getting the meat and fruit took time. He looked over at Dakota and said, "Show the man the dagger." Shan looked at him and said, "We have this dagger, we found it on our way here in the Earth Kingdom. I was wondering if we could sell it to you for food. Do you think it is a good trade?"

Dakota helped Shan pick out the food. The meat and the fruit was surprisingly expensive probibly because it was all shipped there from far away. They bought mostly fish because the price was alot less and it took a while to get the fruit and meat. They found one shop selling food and Shan asked him to show the man the dagger. Dakota took the dagger out and held it to the man. The man looked at the dagger and ran his finger over the Fire Nation symbol at the end. "You say you found this in the Earth Kingdom?" The man asked Shan. "It's finely crafted, not something you would just find laying around the Earth Kingdom."

"I don't think I said I found it lying in the Earth Kingdom." Shan said and then continued, "If you really want to know me and my friend here was attacked by a group of renegade Fire Nation soldiers and well to make a long story short we won and ended up with this dagger. Now will you take it or not? Because I am sure there is another person here who will want to buy this without asking any questions."

"Very well. Just thought I might ask." The man said and handed them the supplies and Dakota gave him the dagger. They now had enough food to last them for a while. "Should we take these back to the house or is there still something we need to get?"

"We can go back to the house." Shan said holding the items while watching the man look at the dagger.

"Ok" Dakota started walking back up the street away from the docks and back up to the house. When they got there Dakota took the food into the kitchen and sat it down.

Shan followed Dakota to the house and then said, "We need to do soemthing." Shan sat down and then said, "We can try to convence the leader of this island to give up her power to us. Maybe we can use words and not force."

Dakota turned to Shan. "You know that the leader woulnt give up her position easily. It will be hard to convince her to give her power to us."
