A Complicated Meeting (Open to Ray)

Akane walked into the local inn, he needed a place to stay while he rested from his current mission. He hadn’t been here forever, he wasn’t allowed to, but then again he was an outcast. He hadn’t been here since he abandoned the Fire Nation Military Police Force. Akane looked around as he pulled his hood up over his head lower. He stopped as he scanned the place “Lot’s of assassins here….” He said “Most of the them mediocre however.” Akane walked over to the bar, he intended on getting in, getting some food and getting out, however his plans had gone awry as soon as he started walking. As he took a step he bumped into someone and landed on the ground.

"Ah! I'm so sorry!" Akari apologized, getting up from where she had fallen on the ground. She had been kneeling right in someone's path, and they had both gone sprawling. She bent to pick up her cat, Tsuki, and apologized again. She studied the man that she had bumped into. Akari sensed something from him, but she didn't know what. He seemed powerful. "I'm Akari Baraitosuta, by the way." She held out her hand and smiled.

(Jeremy's comp broke so Im gonna post what he wrote on my account till it's fixed, he's getting it fixed now so it shouldn't be a problem much longer)

Akane wheeled around, hand on his sword. He paused seeing that the person he had bumped into was a woman, and also because he coudn't afford to make a scene in a town that wanted him dead. Akane cleared his throat and shook her hand "Hello Akari" he said "I'm Akane....just Akane." He sounded so obvious. "Nice to meet you too" he said trying to sound convincing, in all honesty finding someone he could talk to without them wanting him dead was a breath of fresh air. He looked at the cat and then to Akari "You like cats huh?" he asked "I have a pet cat, well, had. But that was a while ago."

Akari smiled innocently. "I love cats! They're just so..." She paused as Tsuki wound herself around Akari's legs. "Gentle..." She finished in an undertone. She looked up again and saw her employer waving impatiently at her behind Akane's back. "I'm so sorry, but I have to go. It was great meeting you." Akari said. Then she dashed around Akane and into the secluded corner where her mentor/employer was waiting.
"What were you doing?!" He hissed at her, glaring at Akane.
"I was just apologizing for running into him." Akari replied.
"You're such an idiot! He is the enemy. That is Akane Togura, the #1 most wanted criminal here. Your next mission is to kill him." Akari looked at her mentor in shock, Tsuki took the chance to jump on the table and hiss at him. Akari looked back at Akane, not sure what to do about it.
((since I have no idea where this topic is going, I'm giving it a direction!))

Akane heard his name be whispered. 'Great...I wouldn't expect less from the locals...looks like I'm going to get my usual greeting' he though to himself, he looked back at Akari 'Why are all the good looking ones the one's that'll kill you?' Akane acted casual, he didn't want to draw a bigger crowd than necessary. If he attacked first it would look bad for him, but, if he prepared to defend himself and waited for Akari to strike, he put his hand to his sword. Still hidden beneath his cloak, he sat at the bar, and waited. "I don't really want to kill her..." he whispered to himself "However...if it comes to it. Maybe I could summon Garuda? And use him to get my out of here....doesn't sound too bad...but will it work?"

Akari didn't give her response a second thought. "I refuse." She said simply. "I explained that I will not go on assassination missions. You can find another girl for the job." Akari prepared to stand up, turning back towards the bar.
"What if this man has information about your brother?" Her employer asked (sorry, I can't decide if I want it to be my mentor or employer...). Akari stopped, her heart beating fast.
"...Alright, we'll make a deal, then. I'll follow this, Akane guy and send you information about him, but I won't kill him." Akari didn't sit back down, wondering if her deal would hold any water with her employer.
"Fine. Have it your way. I expect a gold mine of intelligence on this mission, you hear me?" Akari shook his hand, scooped up Tsuki and pushed her way through the crowd toward Akane. She chanced a glance back and saw her employer walking away, waving his hand casually behind him.

Akane saw Akari walk up behind him. He turned around and looked at her "Um, hello again" he said, she didn't seem like she was there to kill him, but still he didn't want to seem rude or overly suspicious "Care to sit down?" he asked her offering her the chair next to him. "You finished up your business pretty fast huh?" he asked, the bartender came by bringing him a small dish of Sake to drink "Care for a drink or some food?"

"Sure!" Akari replied, trying to act normal. Could this guy have some information about her brother? Was it possible? She wanted to ask immediately, but she knew that wasn't the best option. She clenched her hands under the table and tried to keep a decent conversation going. It didn't go so well.
"Yeah, it was pretty fast, huh? I was just being paid for a recent mission I went on, you know? Do you do missions and stuff too? It's pretty much the only way I can make money, since I'm not good at much else. I definitely couldn't work at an inn like this! It's pretty nice here, right? Oh! Food's here!" Akari said everything in a rush, heart pounding. She was not cut out for information gathering. Akari quickly stopped her rambling by gulping down her drink (what do they serve in the Fire Nation, anyway?).

(I believe it's Sake, kinda like japanese alcohol...but you can just say water if you want)

Akane looked over at Akari from the corner of his eye as she asked him about his missions. "Well I guess, I don't do missions much anymore. But I used to do them almost everyday, now adays...well I don't much anymore, there's not much more to say" he said. Akane took a sip of Sake and stretched, pulling his hood down lower over his head. Akari started to ramble as he gave a small laugh, he took another sip of his Sake "Woah woah woah, calm down there motor mouth" he said "But yes...it is nice here."
