Kiharu was already reclined in her seat, penning through the first few pages of her new book. She rose a brow as Kaji, but couldn't resist a soft smile. "I guess," she told him.

Kiari chuckled. "Aren't you a bit too young to be thinking about a girlfriend?" she said, predictably. He waved the waiter over to their table, and their host set their food down in front of him.

Kiharu was so engrossed in her book, she'd forgotten about her hunger for a moment. The scent of the sweet ham pulled her back into the world quickly enough, and she dug in delicately, shifting her book under her shirt to protect it.

Noriaki was eating jubilantly, stuffing all his portions of food into his mouth at once. It had Kiharu wonder whether he'd been taught proper manners under her mother and father's care.

Sable was very polite with his meal -- he was even using the proper utensils! But he focused on his plate and nothing else. Kiharu only caught his eyes briefly, then lost his gaze before she even realized it'd happened. Kiari was dainty as well (well, 'dainty' wasn't quite the word), but Kiharu knew him well enough to expect that.

Halfway through the meal, Noriaki started reminiscing about childhood memories. "You won't believe this, Kaji," he started.

"When I was six, your dad tried to teach me how to use a sword."

Kiari seemed to cringe at that. "Amaterasu was furious, but she and Tsukiyomi worked it out rather well. I didn't quite understand Lord Tsukiyomi's way of justifying it but, Noriaki wasn't hurt, so he was pardoned. And I trusted him well."

"My dad taught me at 6 too!!" he said smiling, he put on the medallion and smiled as the large gold pendant dragged his neck down, it was obviously too heavy for him "Aunty Ama got so pissed at him....I think that's the worked Kaon used....she said he was gonna die....but dad managed to get Ama to calm down....she gets scary..Kaon does too"

Noriaki gave a hearty laugh. "Kaon is a fine girl. I remember the time she basically cussed me out for not wanting to spar with her. She got in so much trouble for that from Ama, it's not even funny. Not even her mother knows where she got her language."

Kiari sighed and shook his head. "She probably spends too much time with the other generals and guards. Some of them have such a filthy way of speaking."

Noriaki mocked offense. "Hey! We are very respectable characters!" He seemed to have a sudden thought. "Hey -- what about those two kids me and Sable met. Hayato and Hideki. What are they up to?"

Kiharu caught the suffering look Sable sent Noriaki out of the corner of his eye. She didnt' know what it meant, but obviously Sable was very irritated for some reasion. She figured it was common; if you put two guys so vastly different from one another together, well, one would naturally expect chaos. She was surprised they haven't murdered each other yet.

"Oh!" said Kaji suddenly realizing something "I forgot! I have to meet Hayato and Hideki in a few hours! I wonder how they are...they're pretty cool guys, we're like brothers...that's what dad says"

Kiharu prodded him sharply with the end of her fork, a little harder than she intended, sobering under Kiari's stern glare afterwards. She couldn't help but catch a flicker of amusement in Sable's eyes, and Noriaki was too focused on her food to even care.

She chuckled softly and continued to eat. Pretty soon she was full, and there was still about a half plate of food left.

Nori glanced up. "You gonna eat that?" he asked, not even having swallowed yet. As Kiharu shook her head, Noriaki pulled her plate towards him and emptied the contents on his own. He pushed it back. "There you go."
