2nd Tenkaichi Bending-kai Preliminary Rounds ~ Match 5 ~ Kouzai vs. Sara

“Hello folks, and welcome to the second annual Tenkaichi Bending-Kai Preliminary Tournament's Fourth Match!” The announcer said into his microphone, the noise blasting over the roaring crowd. The battle would take place in a circular Ba Sing Se arena, which had pools of water around the edges, as well as a pit of magma in the middle, which was surrounded by a pool of water. While there would normally be more tricks and traps set up, they were disabled for the preliminaries.

“Today, we'll be witnessing the fierce battle between Raijin Ezofuji-no-Tsukuyomi and Ziio Aurushi. The gates will open on my mark. With the combatants set, and the battlefield ready for them, let's give them a warm welcome!”

Fifth seed match, Kouzai vs. Sara. Kouzai will have the honor of the first strike.

Raijin eyed up the arena and then his opponent. Fair sized arena, dirt floor. Magma and water available for bending. Raijin was no Lava bender, and his opponent was more than likely a Water bender by her get up. She looked and dressed as one of the Water Tribe, with her furs and animal skins. Her tanned skin and dark hair. She was truly beautiful, and were they not trying to force the other to submit through violence and clever tactics of combat, he would most likely try to sleep with her. She would definitely be a mark worth working for. Perhaps after...but no, now was not the time.

Raijin readied his first strike. Something precise and direct. Something that would shock her and keep her on her toes for the rest of the fight. It wasn't going to be something too hard to dodge, but something that if she didn't anticipate or notice fast enough would cost her dearly later. Inhaling quickly, Raijin lunged forward, two fingers pointing at Ziio, and shot a bolt of lightning at her. Something basic, for when fighting a Fire bender, especially one of royal or noble blood, lightning bending was something one had to expect.

Ziio stared silently at her opponent. A prince no less, and a fire bender. Ziio cared not his status though, she would defeat him like all her other opponents. Though, Ziio did miss her wolf pack. Without her wolves, she felt naked, like part of her strength was gone. They had lived together and raised each other. Together they fought all who tried to hurt but one of them. They were family. And without them, Ziio felt naked. Unfortunately, Ziio paid for her thoughts as a bolt of lightning shot at her. Ziio tried to jump back, but the lightning struck the ground by her feet, exploding and sending her back. She hit the ground, felt scrapes and bruises cover her elbows and knees as she hit the dirt, but quickly got back up on her feet.

Standing up straight, Ziio bent the water from the pools at the side of the arena and covered her arms. Two watery tentacles enveloped her arms, and extended them by several feet. Normall Ziio would use her weapons to fight, for she did not like water bending, but violence and murder were not tolerated in these tournaments, so she bit back her pride and decided to use an art she had no used since her parents died. Running at her opponent, Ziio swung one of the tentacles, freezing it into a solid mass of ice in order to inflict greater damage upon the prince.

"Woah!" exclaimed Raijin as a frozen mass came at him, looking to sweep him aside like dust before a broom. Raijin jumped, parallel to the ground, and spun as he dodged. He landed quick on his feet, and examined his opponent. She was coming in for close range, but Raijin was prepared. Covering his hands in flame, he charged at Ziio and attempted to melt and destroy her frozen arms. He would cut through them like butter, and break them off. But Ziio retaliated quickly and made her arms viscous liquid once more, causing Raijin to back off. He couldn't fight water with fire, that must he was sure of. But maybe...Raijin rushed in at Ziio, and made to punch her. She retaliated quickly and engulfed his once flaming fist in water, trapping it so they were connected by the watery tendril she bent.

Then she sent the second tendril to capture Raijin's other hand as he made to punch with the other flaming fist. Again, they were connected, now at two places. Raijin then gave a wry smile, to which Ziio only responded by raising an eyebrow. Her face soon turned to horror as she realized the trap she had just sprung, as Raijin began to send static sparks from his fingers. Even trapped in water he could create lightning, and he could channel it through the water back to Ziio, such was Raijin's plan. Raijin loosed the funnel of lighting as Ziio went to release the technique before it harmed her. Who was faster though, that was the real question. For the faster bender would determine the course of this battle.

The match is officially over!  Time is up!  The winner is Your Great God Emperor Princess Kouzai and his character, Raijin Ezofuji-no-Tsukuyomi!  Winning by an astonishing 8 HP point lead after perfect match!  Amazing folks!  Raijin and Kouzai will move on to the quarter-final round of the Heavyweight Division, while his opponent will go on to the Lightweight Division!  Congratulations!
