1st Tenkaichi Bending-Kai Heavyweight Quarter Final Round - Fourth Match: tarlof Vs. Lyssa (Chikushodo)

“Hello folks, and welcome to the first annual Tenkaichi Bending-Kai Heavyweight Quarter Finals!  We are about to begin our Fourth Match!” The announcer said into his microphone, the noise blasting over the roaring crowd. The battle would take place in a long, rectangular Imperial Arena.  Sand covered the floor, and though rectangular, it had rounded edges.  Stands stretched around the outside, and backed into the stands where the private boxes were was the Imperial Palace and the Emperor's Box, as well as mansions and palaces belonging to important nobles who also had their own private boxes attached to their homes.  

The entire place was of made of sandstone and marble and was fabulously decorated. A massive golden brazier stood above the Emperor's Box, being attended to by two Tengu.  It was on fire, and the fire was said to never go out.  It was white fire too.   In the arena there were several pools of water around the edges. Many tricks and traps were riddled everywhere through this arena, to be activated by Mr. Showbiz's will.

“Today, we'll be witnessing the fierce battle between Renella and Alyssandra Ezofuji-no-Tsukuyomi. The gates will open on my mark. With the combatants set, and the battlefield ready for them, let's give them a warm welcome!  Now before we begin, let's remind our fighters that they'll each have 500HP and will roll a random number of 75 instead of 20 for the Heavyweight Matches.  Attack and Defence stay the same, at 10.  Without further ado...”

Renella walked into the arena wearing the traditional Agni Kai shoulder covering. She went to a spot about 10 paces from the center of the arena and knelt facing her gate. She waited.

Alyssandra watched her opponent as they both entered the ring. As a Princess of the Empire, and Owlan's oldest child and daughter, she knew exactly who this was. General Renella. Renella had met Alyssandra during several war meetings when she was invited by her uncle, the current Emperor. Alyssandra also always travelled with Renella's fleet whenever she went anywhere so they had become acquainted often a time. But Alyssandra was not going easy on this acquaintance. This was a tournament after all. Alyssandra raised her hand and created a disk of flame, and shot it at her opponent, throwing it towards her as she moved her arm forward and down.

Renella dropped to her belly and the Agni Kai sheet came of her shoulders only to be burned in the attack. Ren looked behind her and saw the princess. she spun and gathered chi into her feet. 'might as well try something new' she thought as her rise charged a lightning storm that spread up and out.

Alyssandra smiled, watching the lightning come towards her, and at the near last second, blocked with a bolt of lightning of her own. The two bolts crashed together and created a horrible and yet at the same time, magnificent thundering sound and exploded upon contact. Her lightning still active, Alyssandra lunged forward in her stance, and shot a bolt right at Renella, aiming for the General's arm, hoping to cripple her a little in this fight.
