Izanagi's arm was grabbed as he went in for the punch, and Yami attempted to give him an uppercut. Izanagi ducked though, getting out of the way of the attack. A few more millimeters and it would've done some damage. Lucky for him he had quick reflexes, gained while serving under the Spirit King's Undead Samurai legions. Izanagi, his fists still flaming, pulled one from Yami's grasp, and sent them forward, ready to slam right into his opponent's chest, still flaming away, white as ever.

Once the man ripped his arm from her grasp, she watched as he tried to strike at her chest. Call it a womanly instinct that she jumped out of the way as she saw his hands moving in that general direction. She rolled sideways, coming up in a crouch, where she set her hand on fire and lunged for a punch to the man's stomach.

Izanagi blocked her punch by slamming his forearm into Yami's. Then slid his arm around hers and locked it in tight into a hard grasp, keeping his arm wrapped around hers locking hers under his armpit. Now she couldn't escape, not unless she was talented enough to wriggle free. Izanagi then threw a flaming punch towards Yami's gut. He was surprised that she was this good. A hand to hand close combat Fire bender was rare, and took a lot of skill. Bending was a long to mid range skill, and as such, most benders were mid to long range fighters. Fire and Air benders especially. The closest a bender got to close combat was Earth and Water bending, and those were mid range at best, not truly hand to hand. Izanagi made it a point to tell Yami how good she was, win or loose, right after this fight.

Yam was stuck. She couldn't break free of the man's grip. She gasped as he hit her in the stomach, sending her flying back a few feet, needles from the trap flying harmlessly over her head. She realized that part of her shirt was burned, exposing her stomach. She hoped that the bijuu's seal wouldn't appear, possibly getting her thrown out. Her eyes flared with anger as she shot another fire ball at the man.
