THE MASTERY SYSTEM So, in light of the new advanced elements that are coming, post-timeskip, this system has been introduced to make getting any Master-level elements just that little bit more difficult (and rewarding!) to get. Also, you DO NOT have to have a second element to become a master, and you CANNOT START WITH A MASTER-LEVEL ELEMENT, UNLESS YOU HAVE A BIJUU. Now, one must learn their advanced element from someone who already knows it. For example, if person A knew Scorch-bending, and Person B wanted to learn how, and had the appropriate elemental affinity, then Person B would have to learn from person A, in a training topic overseen by a moderator. Now, the rules for a topic in which one learns an element (hereafter referred as ‘Mastery topics’) is not very strict. In fact, the only rule is that it has to make sense! To clarify, a topic that wouldn’t be approved would go as follows: Person B meets Person A in the market one day. Person A is in trouble with the law, and is using Scorch-bending. Now, Person B has zero experience with master-level bending, but upon seeing his friend in trouble, he says “here, let me try!”, immediately frying the guards with no beforehand experience. It doesn’t make sense. However, a topic that looked like THIS would be more likely to go through: Person B meets Person A at the waterfall, where they begin training, working their way through various fire-based elements, such as lightning and lava. When Person B has warmed up enough (no pun intended), he attempts scorch-bending, able to get a small burst of heat out. After several more hours of intensive training and meditation, he is able to use a decent-sized heat wave, at which point he goes out into the world, and begins learning by experience. See? Makes more sense. -So, still feeling like you can be the very best, that no one ever was a master of your element? Then read below, at the step-by-step guide to becoming a master! Step 1: Finding a Teacher
First, know that you MUST learn a master-level element from someone who ALREADY KNOWS IT. After the timeskip happens, that person will be the Jinchuuriki. The information on which Jinchuuriki has which element can be found here.
Step 2: Creating your Topic
Found someone willing to teach? Well, then it’s time to make your topic! Now, when creating the topic, make sure to include [Mastery] in the topic title/description. Also, as said before, the only real rule is that it MUST MAKE SENSE. Please, no random strangers walking out of your closet, and handing you an amulet that allows you to scorch-bend. Now, the topic should proceed however you want it to, working, as a whole, the same way as a normal topic.
Step 3: Submitting the Topic
So, finished training, and ready to submit? Well, just PM an admin or moderator, asking them to validate your mastery topic (please include a link to your character, as well, please). If it is passable, they will edit in your ability to use a mastery-level element AND THEY WILL USE THE FOLLOW CODE TO DO SO (or something along it’s lines. As long as it includes a link to the mastery topic, it’s fine.) -
- Code:

Bending elements: Fire, scorch. Ability to scorch-bend was obtained [url= LINK TO THE TOPIC HERE]here.[/url] and, that’s all! Have fun with your brand-spankin’-new, master-level element! And once again, you cannot start with a master-level element. It MUST be mastered In Character. | |
