Finding the Water Warrior

"Yeah... sure, whatever," she said, reluctant to let Hayato believe her anger had dissipated. After a while of walking and the snow began to irritate Kaon, she paused in front of a diner. "Let's order something and rest here," she said. "Come on."

Hayato looked at her and smiled "I see....but what about Kaji?" he asked, Hayato sighed as she ran inside "Fine sure lets' go....my treat." Hayato ran after her and sat down at a booth across from her "So order whatever you want...I'll pay" he said smiling.

Kaon glared at the menu for a few moments, displeased that practically everything on the list was seafood. She chose a few slabs of goosechicken with a side order of mild sauce, and stared at the woodwork in the table. Anything to keep her eyes off of Hayato. She was afraid that dizzyng, airheadedness would come back. The same feeling she got when he kissed her.

When the waiter finally did came, his eyes lingered too long on her. It made the hairs on the back of her neck bristle. "What are you lookin' at?" she snapped, lashing forward.

The young man stumbled off and hurried to fill in their order.

Kaon sniffed. "Idiot."

Hayato sighed and laughed "You should be a little nicer to people you know?" he said "I know you can be polite...it's not competely above you." Hayato put his hand on her cheek lightly "It's just a suggestion though" he smiled.

Kaon rolled her eyes. "He was being rude first; I hate it when people stare at me. He should have something else to look at for five minutes." She took a sip of her water, aching for a drink.

Hayato smiled "Why shouldn't people look at you?" he said "I enjoy it...you're very beautiful...it makes looking at you fun....and your eyes...they're magnetic."

Walking with Kaji seemed awkward. The browsed throught the upper level, not stopping and glancing around. She noticed a young water bender stare at her, and then her sword, then glance away hurridly and started bending the snow. Sasavi picked up the pace. "I should of left this sword on the ship," she grumbled to Kaji. "It's drawing too much attention."

Kaon mumbled, "I guess." She looked up as her food arrived, the same nervous waitor approaching them on unsteady feet. This time he made sure to avert his eyes as he served them, and Kaon passed a furtive glance to Hayato.

"Um, sorry about earlier," she said bitterly, as if it took every ounce of her energy.

The boy nodded and smiled. "Um, no problem," he said, then hurried away.

Kaon peered pointedly at Hayato. "There. Happy?"

Hayato leaned over and kissed her on the cheek "Very.." he said smiling "So...what to talk about now? Any idea where the Warrior might be?"

Kaon blushed and said, "Um, I don't know. Isn't there a way we can contact the others? See how they're doing?"
