Rescue a Friend

Bryan stood up. You know when i said the warden threatened to kill you he didn't just mean he would do it. The guy has connection and authority. Even if we took him there would be about another army of fire nation soldiers. On the subject of my instincts, the last time i decided not to follow my instincts my master died. If it weren't for my instincts you probably wouldn't be here and you parents wouldn't be safe. So yeah when i do things there are small consequences, but i trust my friends can handle it. I trusted your safety with the other guys. So maybe my way wasn't so good, but it got us together again.You know how i feel about you, and you know that i wouldn't abandon you. Bryan kneeled in front of her and looked her in the eyes. He tried to kiss her hoping she would kiss him back.

Sukey placed her hand on Bryan's lips and stood up placing her food on the bed. She walked over to the mirror that was on the wall and said I'm not sure I can do that right now. I'm confused Bryan. Why am I even here when if the fire nation finds out about us being together we could all be killed? How can I even be sure that you won't leave me again? You already have twice and it's not your instincts that got us together again. It was me. I followed you here hoping you would come to your senses but I see now that you don't think we have a chance. Where is the Bryan I used to know? The Bryan that was brave, courageous, willing to take on anything no matter how the circumstances looked. We can win this Bryan because do you know why? She walked over to him and placed his hand on her chest so that he could feel her heart beat. She placed his other hand on his own so that he could feel his heart beat which was going at the same time as hers. She then said It's because our hearts are connected. Our love is so strong that even our hearts beat at the same time and I know it's strong enough to take on the fire nation army. So when I say we'll win this trust me, we will win this. She then kissed Bryan on the lips and it felt so good that she couldn't compare it to anything she had ever experienced.

Bryan kissed her back. I know your unsure that i won't leave you. When i met you i was thinking about leaving you there, but my instincts told me to help. Helping people in need is in my blood. I hated leaving you, but i thought it would help. Check the inside of you sleeve. There should be a note. I left it saying that i would see you again and not to dread on me being gone for a while. Bryan hoped that the note was there. Bryan stood up and mooved over to a candle. He bended the flame into his hand. This is me when i'm with you. As he said this the flame grew large and strong. He then made it small and weak almost like a flickering light. This is me without you. Do you understand. If something happens to you I end up just like i was when i moved to the Earth Kingdom. Bryan was scared as he spoke. He layed on his bed and waited for Sukey to respond.

Sukey read the note and looked at Bryan's demonstration. She then said Then let me help you. I am willing to fight for our right to be together wherever we please but I can't do it alone. I'm certain that Kouta, Miro, and Zane will help but I need you too. You make me strong inside. You keep my hope alive because whenever I'm with you I feel as if I can do anything. If we fight together I know we can win. So what do you say? Sukey hoped he would say that he would do it.

Bryan looked at Sukey. I say we have to fight, but only when the time comes. Unless we're discovered we don't fight. For now lets just enjoy some peace together. Bryan walked over to Sukey. When i travel you can come too, but we have to stay seperated until we're somewhere private. I'm willing to to compromise and stay together until we're discovered you have to be willing to compromise.

Sukey shook her head and said After a year of not knowing whether or not I'd ever see you again I feel I don't have to compromise. We stay together no matter what happens okay? It's the only way I can really be safe. Sukey hoped he would understand what she meant.

Bryan turns away. Listen i'm finally home and i get to see my mother and my little brother whenever i want. I helped you, can't you just compromise for a little while and keep this secret. He begins to think of his crazy father and how much damage he could do to them. Please just until i change my father or get him sent away. He's a vicious man and he needs to be taken care of that's what i've been doing i set up trap that would be triggered if he tried to hurt anyone in my former home, but it's not enough. Please just for a little while. Bryan didn't want to keep any secrets and he didn't want his father to hurt anyone. He knew Sukey would help he just knew.

Sukey nodded and said Alright, but just until the trap follows through. Then we go out in the open together no ifs ands or buts about it. Promise? Sukey felt she was being reasonable.

Bryan looks Sukey in the eyes. I promise. He Began to walk out of the room. We should go check on everyone.

Sukey walked down the stairs with Bryan and when she came down Miro and Zane smiled. Zane looked at her and said I'm glad everything worked out okay. Zane and Miro had already finished their dinner.
