3rd Tenkaichi Bending-kai | Preliminary Round | Match 11 – [#15] Aklia vs. [#1] Karasu

Karasu smiled, this battle was going to be fun. Karasu was already having a blast. This Aklia was very good at Water Bending, which only made the fight better. Karasu welcomed a challenge, as it was something she did not have much of since joining the Order of the Elements. Aklia charged towards Karasu, propelling herself with a torrent of water. As creative it was, the attack was basic, and predictable, though it was beautiful.

Unfortunately, Karasu had to retaliate. She froze Aklia where she was, inside of the tornado of water. Aklia was frozen from the waist down, and Karasu too the time to strike. Forming a javelin of ice in her right hand, Karasu shuffled forward, and chucked it at Aklia, aiming right for the frozen Water Bender.

Aklia broke free from her icy prison. She to the dry earth with a thud. While on her back, she looked up to see her frozen pillar get, in Aklia's words, fuckin' obliterated. Shards of sharp and blunt ice fell towards Aklia. She melted the ice so she wouldn't get hurt.

This battle was tricky. Tough and trick. Karasu knew how to fight and where to attack. Aklia needed to strategize even more than she already has. Close quarter combat was the best idea Aklia could think of. Taking the water from the melted ice, Aklia froze the ground in front of her in the direction of Karasu. Part of the ice froze into skates on the bottom of Aklia's boots, allowing her to zoom at breakneck speeds. Finally, water froze around her arms as if swords.

Propelling herself forward, Aklia rushed and twirled on her ice skates. She circled Karasu like a Seal-shark ready to strike. At last, Aklia pounced towards Karasu.

Karasu frowned as Aklia broke free of her prison. It was such a well planned attack too. Oh well. Aklia formed ice over the grown and skated towards her, using her ice bending skills to form blades of ice on her arms. Adorbale; Karasu had invented that technique. Crescent Moon Dance. Anyway, not the point right now. Karasu was encircled by Aklia, and this Karasu could not deny, was dangerous.

Aklia swung out at Karasu, and Karasu dodged many of the strikes, but one got her across the arm, and it stung bitterly. With a hiss of air as it passed through her clenched teeth, Karasu stomped her foot and melted the ice around Aklia's feet. It turned to water, soaked the sand and caused Aklia to fall flat on her face as the skates failed her. Using the melted water, Karasu formed her own ice sword, a traditional katana. She approached Aklia and aimed to stab her through the shoulder.

The frozen katana slashed Aklia's left shoulder. Had it been where Karasu intended, Aklia could've lost mobility in her left arm completely. Blood pooled in the open gash. Aklia also utilized the soaked ground. She lifted water out and over herself, freezing it to create a bubble around herself so she could tend to her wound. Her scarf was the best and quickest way to help stop the bleeding.

It was time to strike. Karasu was standing where she first struck Aklia. Her best bet for a good attack would to take the bubble down and use the water to make another frozen weapon. This time, Aklia made a giant hand that acted as though it was her own. The fingers were able to move since the joints and knuckles were all little spheres of water. She had practiced this technique for years, finally it would come in handy. Moving her middle finger to her thumb, Aklia prepared to flick Karasu into oblivion. She let loose her fingers, sending the middle finger straight for Karasu.

Karasu sighed as Aklia attacked her. The attack was impressive, the move took skill and concentration and was obviously very, very hard to master and pull off. For that, Aklia had Karasu's praise. But for someone like Karasu, this move was incredibly easy to block or even dodge. Aklia came in for a flick, but as the tip of her middle finger came to hit her, Karasu raised a hand, and parted the water finger and the entire hand as it passed around her, splitting, dividing, going around her, and reattaching on the other side.

Aklia let the attack fall after it finished. It took a lot of strength and focus to maintain, and Aklia wasn't willing to risk getting hit anymore by being caught off-guard or unprepared. Maintaining this attack was not worth losing, to which Karasu had to agree. Karasu caught Aklia's water before it fell though, and formed a massive pillar of ice. She then shattered the ice in several long, sharp shards, and launched them through the air towards Aklia.
