Leilani saw Trace bring the sword towards her shoulder. She had to admit, the stone sword was new for an Earth Bender. They just preferred to stay far and shoot rocks at people. Well done, Trace, well done. Leilani spun to the side, dodged the blade and grabbed Trace's wrist. Using her limberness and Assassin training, Leilani jumped up, still holding tight to Trace's wrist, kicked her in the shoulder and knocked the blade from her hand, disarming her temporarily.

Leilani tossed the blade aside, and still close in to Trace's body, aimed a hand, covering it in a spiralling drill of darkness, right at Trace's shoulder. She was going to do a fair bit of damage if it hit. Leilani didn't want to kill her, but if she could take out an Earth Bender's arm, she could gain the upper hand slightly.

Trace watched as the sword moved past Leilani's shoulder and swung into the ground, forcing Trace to move with it. Spinning off of her right foot, Trace turned to face her opponent, pulling the sword back up and used the blunt edge to block the attack. The drill broke through the stone of the sword, sending shattered pieces to their feet. Trace smiled, formed two small identical daggers out of the stone gauntlets on her hands and began running through the eight traditional long sword cuts, leaving out the last two that would cause an instant death if it landed.
