Personality: He prefers to be alone, isn't very fond of working with other people. He trains by himself, travels by himself, and even lives alone. He is a nice guy at heart though, and tries to help people in need. He also loves to eat. He has never shown much interest in girls.

Brief History: Kuma was born in the northern water tribe. His father, Shima, was the messenger who traveled from the north to the south and back again to deliver messages. Kuma inherited his father's trade, and did the same. He used the route through the spirit world portals at either pole, but wasn't too fond of it. He always wanted to go the long way and see the world, even if it meant being around people.

One day, Kuma got his chance. However, it was not to deliver a message. A cargo ship was leaving the harbor of the South pole, where Kuma had chosen to live after he turned 16. Kuma climbed aboard, leaving is career and nation behind. He was headed for a new life in the mainland.
