The Fire Spirits

"Follow the voices" said Kali "You will find the spirits soon." Kouzai nodded "Okay thanks for the help" he said. Kouzai I walked up behind Kali once more putting his hands around her waist, this time when he kissed her she kissed him back. "You know, death has not slowed you down at all Kouzai" said Kali. "I could say the same for you" said Kouzai. "Uh dad, mom...we have guests, could you mind saving that for the bedroom?" said Lee jokingly.

Tekara resisted the urge to roll her eyes. Would she end up like that someday? She hoped not. It was way too distracting and seemed kind of... she couldn't find the right word for it, and as the spirits started to vanish, she wished she could've said more to them.

All she could manage was a meek "bye" before they vanished.

She and Kouzai stood there in silence for a moment. "Um... Pain...," she said. "I think i hear whispering over..." her finger pointed to the drafty, ancient stone pathway leading downward. "There."

"That has to be the way" said Kouzai, he sighed in his head he really wanted him and Skye to end up like that. "I guess it wasn't meant to be" he thought. Kouzai ran down the hall faster and faster following the voices which seemed to grow louder as they went.

Tekara went after him, refusing to be left behind. Her long legs worked to keep up with the swift Fire Lord, skipping several steps at a time. The whispers became louder and louder, until they turned into low moans and high-pitched calls. Tekara might've heard her name.

Suddenly she stopped. She was glad she did. A step forther and she would have collided with a wall. Strangely enough, she saw light to her right. Her eyes widened. Down the corridor, there was a lit chamber. Kouzai's form stood silhouetted against it.

Two large golden dragons sat in a silvery pond. They looked at Kouzai "Brother...he has the same chi as..." said the first dragon. "I know brother...he is just like Lee" said the other.

Tekara emerged into the chamber. She squinted, her eyes struggling to get used to the light. She glanced around, seeing spots, and her eyes finally fell upon a silver pond. Memories of thirst swelled inside her, and hunger. She wondered how long she and Kouzai had been down there.

Suddenly she took notice of the dragons. The two, beautiful golden dragons. Beautiful, golden dangerous dragons. Tekara's eyes widened and she yelped, drawing her sword from its sheath.

"Kouzai!" she warned, running to his side. "There are dragons in the pond!"

Kouzai walked up to the dragons "You two...are Shan and Ko....the twin dragon spirits right?" asked Kouza. The dragons nodded "Yes we are...you have come...to seek the location of the light spirit?" asked Ko. Kouzai nodded.

Tekara sheathed her sword, realizing that these were the spirits they were looking for. She walked beside her friend, waiting to see what'll happen. "Pain," she whispered. "What are you going to say to them?"

"The Dark Nation has been revived...we need the help of the light spirit to bring them down" said Kouzai. The Dragons nodded "Of course....very well....head to the light kingdom capitol...there you will find the Light Shrine, but be careful....the city is in trouble...there is fighting in the streets the city is under seige by the earth kingdom....much death and destruction lies in their wake...be careful young Fire Lord" said Shan. Kouzai nodded once more.

Tekara felt it was not her place to speak, but she couldn't shake the trepidation that settled in her soul. What was gonna happen now?
