The smell of the warm sea air filled her nostrils. She missed being home. She missed her mother, and the food she used to make. That warm welcoming hug. It had been Ten long years that she was away from the Dark Nation Capital. Away from the Dark Nation itself. Her older sister Arlania, had taken Skye with her to the North. To join the army up there. She trained Skye in Water Bending, the same techniques that were taught to her from the masters in the Dark Nation.

Skye smiled as the water splashed up the side of the boat, Her hand twirled a little at the wrist as she toyed with the water. She was excited to see her home again, leaning against the rail of the boat, waiting to see the distant peak of the Dark Nation Islands.

Arlania rolled her eyes and Humphed as she stood away from the edge. She wasn't afraid, just got kinda sea sick sometimes. Arlania may have seemed Unexcited to be home, but truthfully, she couldnt wait. Kaige, her son, was apparently living back in the Dark Nation. Helping out his Grandmother. Tsubaki was with her father last that Arlania had heard. Could she too perhaps be at home?

A few minutes had passed and the Dark figures of land appeared on the horizon. They were finally here. It had been one full week since a letter arrived for Arlania, summoning her to the Dark Nation Capital. To be reviewed for an advisor for the New King. There were no names, just an official royalty stamp provided on the letter. Who was the New King?

Skye smiled, it was time to gather her things, as the boat would hit port soon enough.

" Arlania, are you not excited to see your family again?" Skye asked rather eager. Buisness came first, but Skye was just so excited to see her mother once again, along with her niece and nephew who were a year older than her. Interesting huh, Well it would seem right. Arlania was 41 years old now. She was past her prime and she felt it. Didnt mean she still couldn't teach someone a lesson or two. Doing her best to stay in proper shape. she hated being called an old woman.

Arlania nodded as the carriage came to a stop in front of the palace, " Yes Skye but first thing first, we were addressed here on business, not luxery." She said as she refused the guard that tried to help her out. Arlania scowled and nodded her head at a scrawny man who stepped forward, apparently he was their escort into the palace.

Skye followed behind closely. Her hair swaying beyond her hips. She wore her usual battle suit, more of a day to day preparation. Not alot of Garment, but she moved easily in it. Skye smiled at each person, and finally a pair of huge doors within the palace opened. Skye didnt really pay attention, she just closed her eyes wanting this to be over so she can see her home once again.

She just kneeled beside Arlania, and when she peeked up, there was something that would shock her for her entire life.

the day had been long as there were important guests returning that Helios's mother Shiki didn't inform him about. Wearing his long black coat, dark crown on his head. He had now become the ruler of the dark nation which he was starting to turn into a bending learning area. His mother stood by the throne on the sidelines with Helios's guards, the day had indeed been long with all the paper work and as well as royal duties he had to do. Helios heard the doors open, sitting in his throne looking at a royal paper for a teacher for the school him and his mother wish to build. He heard a familiar voice as his mother tapped him on the shoulder. His long white hair behind his shoulders as his body was in black leather pants held up by a brown belt and a criss cross belt on his chest under his long jacket that held his swords behind him.

Raising his eyes, he put the paper down seeing a familiar face. "No...it can't be..." Helios said remembering something. It was odd to him, though he didn't believe it. Shiki raised a hand.

"Welcome Arlania and Skye, welcome back home. King Helios, my boy. You must remember them." Shiki said with a smile.
Helios looked at the brown haired girl that he once knew as a child. His face went red looking at her, not knowing how to speak. Standing up the guards were ready for an attack if he wished it. but he raised a hand and walked up to Arlania and Skye with a smile on his face.
"No need to knell. You are family. Arlania my mother will speak with you of what we summoned you for...but Skye..." Helios's face went red as he got tongue tied.
"Arlania. Welcome. Please come with me to the strategy room." Shiki smiled waving a hand to her teacher, bowing her head still politely. Shiki had changed over the years.

Helios looked at Skye, finally finding his tongue. "My princess." He smiled.

Her sheeks flushed as he stood before her. His long silver white hair. Bright Green Eyes. It couldn't be. Her childhood friend. One that she thought she would never see again. The last time they spoke was ten years ago. Their last hug. Skye tried to stand but felt awfully weak in her knees.

She didn't say anything as Shiki and Arlania had left the room. A smirk on her older sister's face. Did she know? Two soft words escaped the young man's lips. " My Princess." A warming smile across his face sent a wave through out her body. Suddenly she nearly burst into tears as she sprung forward.

Skye wrapped her arms around his neck and held him tightly. Standing on her tip toes so the both of them didn't fall over. She couldn't believe he was the New King. So many questions flooded through her mind. Things like How? Why? When? She imagined never seeing him again. She thought seeing her mom would be the highlight of her day. No, today was going to mean more to her than that.

A soft whisper left her lips as she spoke into his ear gently. " I thought i was never going to see you again..." She was nearly in tears, from joy and happiness of seeing Helios again. Suddenly she realized what she was doing and let go immediately. She just hugged the King! Skye instantly bowed her head respectively, her hair falling over her shoulders, " Please forgive me, My Lord..." Skye was half expecting to be shot through the heart with a spear right about now, or placed in handcuffs for touching Royalty, the King none the less.

Helios looked at Skye as he saw her face let up. He blinked and his face went beat red when she wrapped her arms around him, out of instinct Helios swung her around in a hug. He was so happy to see her again. Putting her down, he could see that she wasn't expecting him to be king nor expecting to see him. Helios bowed his head to Skye and took her hand, his face was beat red.

"How could I no ever see my princess again?" He smiled waving his hands telling the soldiers to stand down. "I been expecting you to return someday. You have become beautiful still over the years." Helios smiled, his cheeks were red as a rose.

Shiki looked at Arlania as they came to the strategy room.
"Helios was hoping you would join our bending school. To teach the students disapline. Like You did with me."

The girl smiled as she was spun around. His grip on her wasn't tight, but she felt the touch and strength behind it. Helios waved off the guards as they were astonished by her sudden touch. He took his hand in hers and her body grew goose bumps all over it. His face was flushed and this she could see. Skye could feel as even her face turned a bit pink.

A smile grew across her face as he complimented her nicely, "I been expecting you to return someday. You have become beautiful still over the years."

Her eyes dropped in embarrassment from his flattering comment. The truth was she was surprised at his turn out as well. the once fragile young boy turned into a tall, strikingly handsome young man. His brilliant green eyes standing out against his pale colored hair.

" And you, My Prince, have grown to be such a handsome young man. " She smiled, it had been ten long years since they made the promise to each other, since she had sworn to Forever be his Princess.

Arlania listened to Shiki's offer. It was a wise strategic move. To finally Bond the Dark nation and the Vermillion Empire. To house each Element as one in training of it's soilders. Guards, Assassins, You name it. Preparing the ones that will protect and defend their Empire.

She nodded her head slightly, Of course she would be a excellent choice for a teacher. She had years upon years of expirence in not only water bending, but battle strategy.

" I will. " She said, sweet, short, simple and to the point, but Arlania has never been one for long speeches. She goes in and gets the job done.

Helios took a step back and blushed at skye, she looked lovely as his eyes looekd her up and down. rubbing the back of his head, he looked at his friend nearby in the corridor off to the side that seemed to be watching them. Ignoring it, he turned his attention back to skye as she mentioned something about how he looked. His face went redder as he stood up straight. Brushing it off he put his hands at his side.

"Would you accompany me outside to over look the city. it is a lovely view." Helios smiled taking Skye's hand and leading her outside to the large balcony that looked over the city.

Skye smiled and placed her hand in his gently and nodded as he asked if she would accompany him outside. She had missed the Dark Nation, and believe it or not, but the Dark nation wasn't dark and dreary and depressing. it was just a beautiful as the light nation and well took after.

Skye smiled at Helios, she missed being at home, and she wasn't the only one. Arlania enjoyed being back here as well, and she was going to get reminded of why real soon. Soon enough Tsubaki barged through the doors, Guards giving thier discontent and unapproval but she didnt care. The short red haired girl trudged forward.

Arlania had just walked back into the throne room, Shiki still behind her. And Tsubaki caught a glimpse of the woman. Arlania and Tubaki caught glances and just stared at each other. They slowly walked up to each other and Arlania gave a slight smile. She never smiled more than that unless it was from sarcasm. Tsubaki just walked up to the older woman and didnt say anything.

Ten long years and she couldnt come up with anything to say but " Hello mom." Arlania gave a approving nod and carried on.

Helios looked at Tsubaki that came in, seeing that it was Arlania and Skye's mother. That was something he wasn't expecting. But seeing the guards take up arms, Helios held up a hand showing not to attack. Sending his men away except for Taizo, as he was a vermillion soldier in training. Helios paused as Taizo ran out and jumped on Helios's back giving him a big hug. Looking at Skye.

"Wow who is this lovely lady! oh you are going to get your girlfriend mad Helios! Such a pretty girl ad holding her hand and hugging her." Taizo laughed, Helios's face went red and looked at Helios. "What? You forgot your own girlfriend from Vermillion. You Baka." Taizo teased, Taizo had his hair down and wearing his white suit. Taizo got down from Helios's back.

"Shut up Taizo! I..."
"What a lovely lady." Taizo bowed taking Skye's hand and kissing the palm of her hand. "Have you seen the new nation gardens yet. Helios and I and Harmony made them."

Skye snickered as her niece Tsubaki barged into the room. She was always loud and rather out going. But she was never boring. Tsubaki walked up to her mother Arlania and Skye just rolled her eyes and turned her attention back to Helios.

She just smiled, but suddenly Helios wasn't alone. There was a man who was attached to his back. A young man with wispy fair pink hair. He was wearing a white suit and his hair was longer in the back. Skye's eye just got big and she blinked. this man was a bit eccentric and she giggled.

Suddenly she was rather confused. What was this man talking about? Girlfriend? Was Helios seeing somebody? She guessed that she couldn't get mad, they weren't together, so he wasn't cheating on her but still.

Taizo then placed a kiss on Skye's hand and she just looked at Helios, " Is that true Helios? Girlfriend", she looked at Taizo and smiled appreciatingly for his flattering comments.

Helios's face went red, and rubbed the back of his head. Shaking his head, he was trying to say that Taizo was lying. Taizo chuckled and stood up to Skye with a smile on his face.
"oh yes this past year they been really close. A popular singer and a prince. Oh the scandel! though Helios thought your mom said no women in your room by yourself..." Taizo teased.

Helios glared at Taizo as he grabbed Taizo by the back of his neck. "Are you trying to get me killed Taizo? Maybe I should give your father a call...oh wait better yet your mother...I'm sure she would like to know what her son has really been up to lately." Helios growled.

Harmony ran out onto the balcony looking at Skye with a smile and the other girls. she ran up and jumped on Helios and Taizo'sshoulder, sitting on them. She wore a small white dress with a red lace corset in the front that held her chest together. The guys looked at Harmony and laughed as Harmony got on Taizo's shoulders.

"Heli. You were supposed to meet me at the fountain. Now Toraika is sad. And you know you don't tick off a stein. Or have we forgotten what her grandfather can do." Harmony laughed, then she looked at Skye with a smile. "Oh a new girl."

"Harm! I...I...um..." Helios hung his head
