|CHARACTERISTICS|

Personality: Befitting her status as noble, Kasai is tough, assertive, and not afraid to speak her mind; but at the same time, she has a very compassionate and loyal spirit. Her softer side is frequently demonstrated in the presence of friends and family. She also has a mild tendency to hold grudges. Kasai is also a woman of action, she quickly.

Kasai is also a very good writer, and is rarely seen without ink, a brush and paper. She wants to write a book about fire bending, and create her own instruction scrolls for future students. Scrolls that will demonstrate both the spiritual and physical sides of bending.

Kasai, thought trained and raised to act proper, can switch to being vulgar and crude as anybody else. Her ability to swap between high-class nobility and low-class citizen has helped her mix and mingle within the different castes and crowds of the Empire. Furthermore, through this she has also gained a method of getting what she wants from guys, be it information or items, by learning how to manipulate them depending on class and status through her feminine charms. Because Kasai works as a tracker in her spare time, this skill is very important for her.

Brief History: Kasai grew up in Vermilion City, and was an only child. Her father was close personal friends with Fire Lord Tsun-Zu, and therefore Kasai grew up playing with Naina. As children, the two of them were inseparable, and were the best of friends. Both their families would travel to Tenchi Palace during the summer, and Naina and Kasai attended the Imperial School for Young Firebending Girls. It was during their years in school, around the age of 10, when Kasai realized that she could wield blue flames.

It wasn't too long after, however, that Naina soon followed in her brothers footsteps, and left the palace and the capital in favour of Tenchi Palace, where the Princess spent several years there alone. In the time away from her friend, Kasai dropped out of school, and began training on her own, and at the age of 14 went out and began to learn from a Firebending master known as the Old Man of the Mountain. He was a wise and old firebending teacher who had mastered the element of fire a long time ago, and spent his time living in the heart of a volcano, surrounded by fire and lava, where he would attempt to achieve spiritual enlightenment and hone his craft.

While Kasai wasn't training, she would sneak out of her family's large estate in capital, and spend her nights out on the town, fighting other firebenders and thugs to practice her skills. This constant practice against people who were older, larger and stronger than her put her on the path to quickly becoming a master, for as she fought with them, and practiced the skills taught to her by her master, she would also pick up other moves from the other masters she fought, and would make up her own--either by combining her own personal moves to other moves to update or improve them, or by completely inventing original moves.

It was during this time Kasai also learned other important life skills, like her ability to track people by blending in with commoners, middle-class merchants, and upperclassmen, and then seducing the men depending on their tastes in women and their class in order to get the information she needed. At first, Kasai would only track criminals, but eventually began to open up her services to runaways as well.

All the while, Kasai trained hard under the Old Man of the Mountain's tutelage, and eventually mastered not only the blue flames, but firebending in general by the age of 17. Once she had been proclaimed a master, Kasai was given a gift from her master: a metal chain whip that could channel lightning, and a pet Mongoose Dragon. Kasai spent time practicing with the whip to master it, and developed techniques to channel lighting through it that would paralyze and incapacitate, and not kill, those that the chain hit. Kasai put the Mongoose Dragon and chain whip to use in her tracker career. Recently, she has gotten back in touch with Naina, and has pledged to help the nation as much as she can during the war.
