The wide brown wings fluttered as the large spirit flew from his perch in his precious library. Today was one of the only days where the library was closed and visitors turned away because today was the town's annual celebration of their namesake. The Town of Dara was built at the foot of a large mountain, which was home of a large library and the new Knowledge Spirit, Dara. The owl flew over the pathway and looked down to see people leaving the library to join the festivities. Dara loved that the village spent a few days celebrating the spirit, but he felt like it was just too much even for him. He was not always to fond of being the center of attention.
The owl watched as he was greeted with a thunderous applause and people moved aside so he could land. Trying his best not to make such of a mess while he landed Dara ended up almost crushing a few tabled filled with food and drinks. "Sorry," he said and stood tall to look at all the people celebrating him on his day. He bowed and walked down a decorated aisle up to a stage. The stage was large and took up most of the town center because well Dara was a rather large spirit. Over the years he has actually grown, he figured it happens as he ages.
"Hello," the owl proclaimed, "and welcome. I am glad to see so many faces in this wonderful town. I cannot being to tell you how glad I am to see so many people coming for my celebration. It is truly an honor." He stepped back and watched as the town's leader welcomed the people a second time and then told the story of this village and how Dara saved it. The owl shut his eyes and remembered the village before his arrival. They were all so poor and the buildings were unlivable, but when Dara built his library at the top of the mountain the village thrived and is now one of the best places to live. "We have only one to thank for this," the man said making Dara open his eyes, "Dara! The Spirit of Knowedge!" The crowd cheered some more and then the festivities began. Dara stood on the stage watching as people ate and drank, then he noticed someone walking up to him. "Hello," the owl said in a kind voice.
((Of course the setting is a large part in celebration of Dara. Your characters of course are going to be there and if they want they can just walk up to Dara for some fun chatter. Opening posts are always important because they make the setting and mood of the roleplay. To begin you can have your character arriving to the town or even living in a home and going to the celebrations. They should see Dara fly down from his library and from there we can continue the roleplay. If you need any help in writing it or you can't think of anything please ask me.))
