Personality: May Lin is fiercely independent, sarcastic, direct, stubborn and confrontational. She has a carefree and adventurous personality and she is very tomboyish in the way she acts and dresses, in contrast to the delicate doll her Mother saw her as. However, instead of avoiding fighting whenever possible, May Lin loves battling and takes great pride in her Earthbending skills. Brief History: May Lin Feng was born unto this world by her mother, whom was a member of a prominent family in the Upper Ring of Ba Sing Se. Her Father, Older Sister, and Older Brother died of pneumonia when May Lin was four years old.

Growing up, May Lin tried to get along with other kids, but was reserved and shy, and was considered to be weird. May Lin liked to sneak out at night and practice Earthbending. She honed her skills and became proficient in Earthbending. Upon her mothers death, May Lin inherited the house, the family's belongings and the small family fortune.

Alone and grieving, May Lin wanders the streets by night and stays at home by day.
