Exploring the lower Ring(Open to all!)

Ian had found a nice middle ring hotel and checked in. The only thing the shadow thing would find when he spotted Ian was him sleeping. It wouldn't be very interesting and the being wouldn't have much to report back. She'd have to find him on her own to get anything out of him.

The demon hunter walked through the shadows to the hotel Maki was staying. The demon did not want to wake her so he entered her dreams. "Master." the demon said. Maki was dreaming of practicing the hardest dark bending controlling other objects with dark force. Maki was looking at the demon confused how it got in her dream, but then asked him "What have you recovered?"
"The boy is staying in the inn close to the residential district of the middle ring. Master." "Thank you for this information. Lurk into the shadows and find more, and do not appear if the girl is with me." "Yes Master as you wish." The demon slipped out of Maki's dream and went to the boy watching his every movement. Maki slept deeply.

The sun rose up over the inn that Ian was staying in and shined right into his room. He groaned and then looked at time time and quickly got up. He went down for breakfast and then went on his way for searching for his father's friend. He knew what he looked like...but had forgotten his name, at least for now.

"Shouldn't be that hard to find this guy, I do remember his face. And my father had other friends here in the middle ring, I'll start with Keo Ten, he should be about Sixty by now." He thought to himself as he stretched and then headed past his hotel and into the market district, then into the main part of the city.

Laria was fast asleep, under a small blanket. The light shun through the window, and Laria yawned. She looked outside, and there was a messenger hawk, it was Sarashi, her mother's hawk! Inside the letter box, Laria pulled out a small wrapped up box, with a letter on it saying ''Protect yourself dear, i'll be with you soon from Mummy''. Laria opened the box, and there was a new Waterbending Scroll in it! She hid it insde her blue bag, and she carried the baggy
shoulder bag on her shoulder. Laria crept ouside, and she looked around the place. ''Now where's the middle ring, mummy could be there!''. Laria slipped out a map of the earth kingdom, and she started to travel to the Middle Ring. ''I need to find mummy, sorry for leaving Maki''. She whispered to herself.

Maki woke to see Laria left and a note on the bed. Written on the parchment and the green ink for the desk.
Dear Maki,
I found that my mummy could be in the middle ring I am going to find her. I can be safe by myself. My mummy's hawk sent a message to me that my mummy will be here soon.

Maki wondered how the hawk found her then she looked at the sun starting to rise. " Le protecteur de démon surgissent." Maki said under her breath. A demon women in a long flowing robe and a white staff and crystal blue eyes. "Yes, my wonderful Master." "Protect the girl named Laria in the city. She is a water bender and she is only 9. I am worried someone could attack her. She thinks she knows where her mummy is in the middle ring, protect her from harm please I want her to be safely returned to her mummy. Also if she finds he mummy put a note in her little blue sack that says 'Protected by Maki princess of the Dark Bender tribe'." "As you wish master." She drifted into the shadow world to find Laria to protect her at all costs. Maki went to the window to slip into the shadow world to start her investigation. The portal opened beneath the window. Maki dived into it without a scratch on her body and walked to the inn near where the demon said the boy was in last.

Ian had finished shopping and was heading over to one of his father's friends house. Or one of them. He knocked on the door and it opened slowly. Ian walked inside looking around. The place was a wreck. Everything was turned over and the table in the kitchen was broken in half and flipped over.

He took a left into the bedroom and looked around again seeing it was flipped over as well. Ian ran out of the house and down the street having a idea of who could of broken into the house. But he hoped he was wrong.

Maki saw the boy running down street. Maki watched him, he seemed panicky. Kysi looked at me with hungry eyes. I an ally I got out of the shadow world to buy some chopped meat. The fire bender would have to wait, Maki's pet came first in this case. The meat seller was happy for Maki to buy 15 giant juicy steak's. It was 30 gold, but the steaks were big and well cut. Kysi appeared in the ally looking at the steak's asking for one. Maki threw one large steak to the tiger and she gnawed on the it happily. Looking at me with 'Thank you!' eyes. I opened the shadow world portal and stepped through. Then Maki saw the boy turn the corner a few blocks down. Maki took a short cut running on the roof's of houses. The boy keep running with sweat dripping down from his red hair that hung in his face.

Laria had been walking for a few hours now, and still no sign of her mummy. She pulled out the gift her mother gave her, the waterbending scroll, and she looked at it. It said on the letter
'Protect yourself', which meant 'Use your bending if you get in trouble'. Laria was tired, and she felt alone, not knowing her mother was all the way at Tengu Island. She saw a figure, red hair, quite tall. Then Laria remembered what Maki said. ''Oh my! It's.....him, he's the one who's hunting the waterbenders''. Laria filled up her pouch with water from a fountain, and she
opened it just in case of an attack.

Maki saw Laria near the fire bender. Maki held her breath. Laria was smart to fill her pouch of water just in case. Then the boy drank some water from the flowing fountain and keep running. Maki's heart then kept beating normally. Maki saw the demon protecting Laria walking next to her. The demon women saw me and waved like 'I am doing my job no worries'. Maki saw her Earth Kingdom cloths looked like she rolled in dirt for hours. She took some new cloths that looked the same color of pure green. Not Maki's color. She saw the boy still running. Maki wondered where is he going?

(Wait how does she know I'm the assassin? She shouldn't know who i am from that far away. Unless Maki knows my face and told her. Just pointing it out.)

Ian ran up some steps and burst through the door. The old man screamed and fell to the floor. He tried to fire bend at him but Ian brushed off the attack and picked him up gentlyy.

"I am not here to hurt you, old man. I need to know who attacked Tai Jai's apartment. It is a wreck."

Keo Ten, the old man sat down in his chair wiping sweat off his forehead. "I didn't know his apartment was broken into."

Ian sighed and wiped more sweat out of his face. "I don't have time for this."

"I know someone who will know, son." The old man whispered as his eyes widened.

"Another goose chase right?"

"No! Yen Tsu lives in the inner ring. He knows everything about the city. He is a master Earth Bender though so watch your back. He will tell you what happened to Tai Jai."

"If you're wrong..." Ian began.

"I am not wrong. I was a colonel in my younger days. I never lie." He stood up and offered to shake Ian's hand.

Ian returned it reluctantly.

"Hail Fire Lord Kouzai." Keo said.

Ian didn't respond to the salute and ran out the door.

"Hey! That's a insult!" Was all he heard the old man yell as Ian ran out the door and towards the inner ring.
