I just love this prayer so much, idk why but I feel the need to post it. But before I do, I want to give a brief history of it. In one of his sermons, Jesus taught some of the people how to pray. He gave them this as a demonstration. It has since become extremely famous, even to those who have no idea who said it or what it means. As stated, it was to teach those at his sermon how to properly pray, so it was a demonstration directly from Jesus on the subject. It goes as such:
Our father, who aret in Heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done
On Earth, as in Heaven
Give us this our daily bread
And forgive us for our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us
Lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil
For thine is the Kingdom, Power, and Glory
Forever and ever, Amen.
