Yashima Yashima is an island in the Imperial Mainland. It is home to the village of Yashima and the Yashima Military Base. It has been an important military stronghold since the founding of the Fire Nation, and was a constant target by Kyohiko and his rebels during the Nakyo War. A planned invasion of the island led to the Battle of the nearby island, Mizushima. It is now a bustling port and military city and capital of Echigo Province. Nara Once called Fire Fountain City for the large fire-breathing statue of Ozai (now replaced by a statue of Fire Lord Nara) at its centre; the city of Nara is a large, industrial city located on one of the many islands in the eastern half of the Fire Nation.
