Brief History:
Ai's father was never around. Whether he was dead or not no one knew. Her mother was very kind, and loved Ai, but longed for her husband to come back. She ended up dying from depression, and then Ai's step mother came to take care of her. It turned out that her father had cheated on her mother and married another woman, who was now in charge of her. Ai was brought up strictly by her step mother, had to learn how to be a proper. After all, her father was the Light Kingdom King and therefor she was the princess. Ai resented her step mother, and blamed her for her real mother's death. Still, she was kept away from her father. But her step mother ended up dead one morning as well, murdered for her money. Ai was finally left in charge by her distressed father, who treated her horribly, in turn blaming her for his wives deaths. Ai vowed that she would never treat her kids this way. Later, when Ai grew old enough to assume the throne, her father stepped down willingly and Ai became the queen. She fell in love with a soldier in her army, and together they had a son, but he was called off to war and never heard from again. She raised her own son with caring passion, keeping her vow to never be like her father to him.
