|APPEARANCE|

Hair:Nova has a rich,lush Chestnut brown hair color that falls in light, soft waves down the end of her back. The style is most of the time the same, A loose braid that falls over her right shoulder with bangs that are pinned to the left side of her face while some loose strands framing her face. A red ribbon is usually tied around the right strands of her hair while on special occasions she'll put her hair up in a bradied bun. Sometimes her hair will become lighter when exposed to too much sunlight giving it a sandy brown look to it.
Eyes: Nova has a clear sky blue eye color that seems to have something of a sun like glare to it. Her eyes are not very large but slightly bigger than almond shaped ones. Like her eyes they seem to change hue when in the sunlight for too long, but instead of getting lighter like her hair color they turn darker a more or less ocean blue. A pair of glasses frames them.

Clothes: Because she is a traveler she tends to dress in one thing most of the time. Because she goes into diffrent climates she wears a double breasted coat which is pink and long coming down to her shins under her coat she wears a white button up shirt with long sleeves, and a purple skirt that is long going past her knees. Her feet are snuggled in a pair of knee high brown boots that lace all the way up. One her hands a pair of black gloves sit, these gloves are leather but not bulky and fit her hands perfectly. When in colder regions she will have the coat on but other than that it's off.
Skin: Nova's skin is smooth and soft to the touch but has a few burn marks here and there from early on in life when she started to learn how to cook. Getting a little to close to the flames has left parts of her hand rubbery which is one of the reasons she keeps her gloves on.
Body Type: Nova has a very healthy body for someone of her age. She is a little hefty in the breast,hips,and thigh area and it's mostly because of the gentics and partly because she loves to eat. Her body could be described as shaply and slighlty plump. She does not have any real muscle but she is in good enough shape for her weight and hight to match each other. Her stomach is a bit pudgy but nothing with a pouch or round, it's just....Soft and mushy. She has the body for child baring lets just leave it at that.

Personality:

Nova is a very nuturing person, willing to take care of anyone who needs it and without asking a thing in return. She's open and a very sociable person never judging anyone on their looks,behavior or attitutde. She understands body langauge and does give people space when they clearly need it only offering a listening ear if she thinks something is wrong or sees that they don't look to happy. Nova is that type of person that you could just talk to and she could just listen for hours all while baking you your favorite treat and giving advice. Her willingness to learn about people and the world around her has made her a very easy person to get along with.

Not much can get Nova angry or upset but when she does she can't do anything but cry. She won't bawl out crying in front of the person who made her upset, instead she walks off and finds a quiet place to sob quielty.
The fact of the matter is she can't hurt another living being unless her own life is in danger or she can't avoid getting hurt.

Like all people she has a serious problem,more like an unhealthy addiction.
Gambiling is something she tries to stay away from, because once she starts she cannot stop. Most of the time luck is on her side but those times when she has lost and cannot repay a debt she ends up having to pay dearly one way or the other.

She enjoys people and all types of them. She does not dislike firebnders because they have the opposite Bending than she does. She does not hate or dislike benders because they can't bend at all, that's a stupid reason to dislike someone in Nova's eyes. When she sees that kind of predjiduce she tends to figure out why it is so and even goes as far as trying to fix that type of thinking.

Being too helpful actully makes Nova come off as a bit pushy and even puts her in a " too famailar " position with some people. They don't like when she gets to close to quickly even though she is just trying to help. She really hates when people don't like her or are even upset with her. Her try to help everyone personality screams clingy at times and in truth that is her way of not being alone.

Being alone is a deep deep fear of Nova's and she just can't do it. If she does get close to someone even a little she will become clingy and that's jus that. She'lll worry horribly if she is disliked and will do unneccery things to try and fix it, often it will backfire and make the situation worse. Nova knows when enough is enough but although defeated she will walk away from a person she has seriosuly upseted. She understands the meaning of space and will give that person anything to please them.

Overall...
Nova is a people person who only wants to please and help. She's kind hearted and would actually never hurt a fly if it were not trying to kill her.
She is a great listner but comes off as clingy and needed for attention. Like everyone she has something like a crack in her mirror, her addiction for a good gambiling often puts her into deep trouble she finds a hard time climbing out of. Her emotions are what drive her and even though she is mentally smart she does not let it give her a swell head. Humble and forgiving she has the will power to forget any bad thing that happens to her and forgive those who have tried to hurt her.

Brief History:
Nova was born too a water bending mother and a non-bending father. She was also a twin but her twin sister was not born a bender.
Her family lived in the Southern Water tribe in a small settlement close to the sea. The family as a whole was poor and only had the skills of her and her mother to depend on when it came to getting food. Nova at a young age was very much like any other child with bending abilities,Curious.

At the young age of about five Nova was a very energetic child. Her mother would notice changes in the currents every time she was near the sea and wondered if she had possibly gotten bending powers. Nova herself never notice anything out of the ordinary but she was young and she had never really seen a bender before. When curiosity got the better of her Nova 's mother would take her daughter out to sea and make up little test for Nova . These test were design to see if she had really taken on Bending powers. After it was all said and done Nova passed almost all of the test. This amazed her mother and she soon began to train Nova at a very early age in her abilities..

Growing up Nova was not allowed to play with the other children after her mother found out about her abilities. She told Nova it was for her own safety but Nova didn't think so. Her training of her bending got harsh, her mother didn't let up on her and it was to the point where she began neglecting the rest of the family. Truth be told her father didn't care for Nova s bending nor did he care for his wife's.After almost ten years of training her daughter Nova 's mother grew sickly and the rest of the family put the blame on Nova .

Her father was sickened at the sight of her and her sister wouldn't even look at her own reflection to avoid seeing her sister's face too. Nova felt alone and decided she wouldn't want to be in a place where she was not wanted. Night after night she would pack little things she would need, she had heard of a place where all benders lived and she herself decided that it was best to leave home. On the night of her leaving her father caught her..

" Where do you think your going? Don't you think you've costed us enough grief? What do you think will happen if you leave huh? Your mother is sick and dying and we depended on her " power " to get us food...How do you think we are going to eat now you selfish brat! "

Her father's voice was dead and angry something that sent shivers down the young girl's back.

" Do you think I'm just going to let you go? Maybe you don't need any powers..Maybe I should knock you off that high horse of yours right now! "

Little did anyone even his wife know that he was skilled in the art of Chi-Blocking. He was born in the fire nation but he met his wife on one of his many advantures and fell in love. To keep his love he hid that fact...But now he was going to stop his daughter once and for all.

Nova was afraid but she was trained. They were near the water, her territory. Taking a deep breath she pulled forth a large wave from behind her and quickly jumped on top of it. She bended the water benethe her feet to help her stay on top of the wave as she sent it towards her father. The water enveloped him and she made a ball of condensed water around him. Watching him suffer she frowned and didn't let go until he had passed out. She had hopped no one saw this and quickly made her escape on a makeshift boat she had been working on for this day. Using her bending she left away to a place unknown to her at that time in search of a new life.....

Nova was 14 when she left and ever since she has wandered from place to place ending up in the nothern water tribe when she was 20 and learning healing from the women there. Before she got to the water tribe though she met various people along the way and even a few very talented water benders. A water bender who she called swoon taught her how to blood bend when she turned 18. The lesson was a hard one since Nova killed her when she felt she fully mastered it. Nova didn't mean to do it but Swoon would not let her continue on without the duel and she didn't really want to do it but it was a life or death fight and swoon made that clear...Very clear.

The battle seemed to have lasted for waht seemed to be hours, with Swoon having the upper hand against Nova. Swoon would have proved to be too much for Nova if not for the fact Nova was holding back in fear of killing Swoon. For the most part Swoon really wanted this to be a fight to the death and Nova was reluctent until she realized she could not lose her life, not like this. Swoon had taught Nova to blood bend but Nova took it upon herself to train even without Swoon around. Nova when she wanted to learn something she made sure she learned it, from it's history and everything else about it. Once she had learned blood bending she practice it over and over and even made new techniques out of it testing it's limits and her own. The fight was over once Nova realized she wanted to live and as badly as it hurt and scarred her she took the life away of her teacher and friend.

After this Nova only wanted to save lives and she wanted to cast away what she knew about blood bending. Nova knew that she being a waterbender had the ability to heal. And so after she buried the body of Swoon she took off for the norther water tribe where she would meet her next teacher Kanna.

Nova reached the Norther water tribe when she was 19. The young bender was quickly recognized as a talnted bender and accpeted by a older woman named Kanna. Kanna was around forty years old but she was fiesty and didn't let anyone talk down to her. Kanna saw enough potential in Nova to take her in a pupil to the art of healing and Nova was happy. For six years Nova was taught healing and everything that revolved around it. She learned that blood bending was more than a weapon it was a tool of the healing proccess. The thought of that amazed her and she took it up again promising only to use it to heal or protect nothing more nothing less. When Nova hit twenty-Five Kanna explained to her that there was nothing else she could teach her.

This saddned Nova a bit but it meant that she could go back out into the world. With a new sense of direction Nova felt the need to teach others what she had learned and hopefully given young waterbenders a gift they could use to help the world with. At twenty six years old Nova has travled quite a bit and has quite a bit of knowlendge. All of the time she moved about though she was complelty oblivious of the inner workings of the world something she will soon be introduced to...And real soon if someone else does not get to her.
