| Alright, here's an explanation of how the dates, years and calendar work on the RPG. YAFO or AO are acronyms for Years After the Fall of Ozai (YAFO) and After Ozai (AO). These work similar to how people in the real work would use BC and AD. BC meaning Before Christ and AD meaning Anno Domini. For example, 10 000 B.C. would be the year that modern man appeared on Earth (Modern Man being humans similar in shape and looks to us now, meaning no more cavemen). An example of AD would be 2012 AD, the current date. BC is used to describe years before Christ's coming (for those who are not religious like me, you may use BCE which means Before Common Era in place of BC) and AD would be any years after the conception of Christ. So anything year 1 and after. Similarly, we use YBFO and YAFO (Years Before the Fall of Ozai and Years After the Fall of Ozai). Also, the Calendar and month/date system in use is the Gregorian Calendar, which is the calendar that pretty much everyone uses. You have 12 months, January to December, and each have 30 or 31 days with the exception of February. So the dates and months work quite the same, though the years may be a little confusing. A further example of date in RPG time would be:
September 17th 706 YAFO (You may also just use September 17th 706, since in the real world we don't put AD after 2012.)
If there are anymore confusions you may Pm any Admin for a further explanation, their names are listed in the sidebar over there <--. If you have no further questions that means this explanation works and I'm doing my job right. | |
