Reporting Back

Curtis scratched his beard as he looked out the window. "My son is taking to long with that deal of his" he said "If he's not back soon, I'll go after him." Curtis walked towards the large window of his office, located within the palace. "Aztlan..." he said, he gave a small chuckle "What are you doing you crazy boy? You're always getting into trouble. Lets hope you didn't get in over your head this time." Curtis reached for one of his may swords that hung on the wall behind his desk. Just in case Aztlan was in trouble, he was ready to find him and back him up.

I don't recommend shadow porting if you're scared of:

1.) The dark

2.) Cold shivers up your spine

3.) Strange noises

4.) Going so fast you feel like your face is peeling off

It's a very strange feeling, but very helpful. It only took a few seconds to port away from the battle enveloping in front of him to headquarters. Aztlan was in the corner of General Lieme's house suddenly, facing the back of his father. Lieme was holding a sword, looking out the window, looking slightly worried. Strange, he was almost never worried. "Father," he said, stepping out of the shadows. His face showed no emotion. "I'm back. The trade is done. There's a ship at dock 14 at the harbor with the guns. They threw in some tanks for our support as well."

Curtis gave a calm smile "Good..." he said as he walked over to the weapons rack, returning the sword to it's rightful place "And those tanks will come in handy...They will definitely give us more power on the military front. And to think, I was worried about you getting yourself hurt. You did well for your first deal...I may let you take over all future matters with Lethal." Curtis walked over to Aztlan and faced him "They are an important part of our plans to restore the Dark Nation to it's former glory. I need to know someone I trust is in charge with caring for our delicate alliance. And I thought, who better to trust than my own son?"

Aztlan almost smiled, but then remembered Amatsu and the man who had been watching them.... She glanced away from his father, took a deep breath, and looked back up. "There's something that you should know about though. The man I met with, Amatsu, something was off about him. I didn't notice it at first, but he had a metal arm, and his body looked like it was sewn together.... And I'm not sure how long he was there, but someone was watching us. Amatsu attacked him with arm, which could expand, and it looked like it was going to be a nasty fight. So I shadow ported out of there. The battle is probably still going on right now, but you needed to know that matters might not have been as secret as we hoped." He sighed and sat down on a chair off the side of the room. He wondered who was going to come out on top, but he guessed Amatsu. He looked like he could beat anyone, even him.

Curtis frowned slightly "I have served with this Amatsu once before...and even have the 'pleasure' of fighting against him. He is a formidable and smart opponent...he is ruthless as well. I am sure he will be the victor..and I am sure that the spy you saw in the bushes has been properly taken care of." Curtis walked back over behind his desk and sat at his chair, he looked at Aztlan "Don't worry yourself" he said sincerely "You did fine. Letting Amatsu deal with it was the best....he leaves nothing behind of his enemies...you wont be discovered. Besides we are in our own nation...no one would dare go against us..that would also mean going against the Royal Family."

"True," said Aztlan, looked out the window into the distance. He wondered what his friends were doing right now, and his mind wandered even farther. What about the other nations? What were they doing there? Were there kids laughing and playing? Was there war? Peace? And what about his mother? Where was she? Father never mentioned her. Was she alive or dead? And if she was alive, what is she doing at the moment? He glanced over at the general, and almost asked. But stopped himself at the last moment. He didn't want to upset his father with unpleasant thoughts, and it was hard to admit but his father was also intimidating. Standing up, Aztlan walked over to the window and leaned against it's sill. "Should I go get the guns? Or wait? What's our next move...?" This was all he could talk about with his own father? War and politics? It's how it's always been, and he supposed always would be.

Curtis raised an eyebrow as Aztlan looked at him. Aztlan turned away quickly and looked towards the window. Curtis shrugged it off "Head to the pier as soon as your rested" he said "Inspect the shipment of firearms and the tanks. Test one of each model if needed...but do it so you don't attract attention to you. If you're going to text them, bring them out to one of the smaller islands. Once they're tested and proven working, escort the shipment to the front lines. I want you to divide the shipment into two boats, the first goes to the Northern Cities and will land at the docks there. The second will land on the western beaches, that will support our troops as we gather them together and prepare to march towards the capitol. I will inform Lord Erebos of our success today..perhaps my son, you will get a large reward."

Aztlan sighed, and almost complained. He didn't want to test the guns, or even go down the the docks. But now was not the time to act like a child, now was time to act like a soldier. Now was not the time to think of Curtis as his father, but as his commanding officer. And soldier's don't disobey their generals. He threw his hood up, grumbling at the mention of Lord Erebos. He wasn't tired, and thought he should go get it done as soon as possible. He slumped over to the door, and mumbled, "Yes General." So much for acting like a child, he was acting like a moody teen, which, of course, he was, but he rarely showed this side.

Curtis raised an eyebrow as Aztlan walked away, he looked at him with a slight grin "Aztlan" he said calmly "Keep your chin up. Have something with some sugar in it before you go, it'll keep your energy up, and should help with the teenage mood swings. It's a little trick I learned as a child." Curtis waited until Aztlan was gone before strapping a rapier around his waist. Curtis picked up the nearby phone and dialed a number "Hello...Lord Erobos" he said "Can you meet me in my office please? I have good news for you regarding our plans..."

Erebos placed down the phone and thought 'It better be good,' Erebos thought to himself. He lead himself down the hallway till he saw his generals door. 'Curtis' inscribed on a shadowy plate, as if the words could come out to attack you. Erebos opened the door to see Curtis and he walked forward feeling something good had just happened "What is the good news?" Erebos said calmly.
