Reflection

Tsukiyomi walked through the halls of the palace. Things had been quiet lately....and by lately he didn't just mean the last couple of days, it had been for the last 10 years. Part of his missed Sasuno'o, his constant death plots for Tsukiyomi kept Tsukiyomi on his toes. Tsukiyomi somewhat regretted killing his brother...even though it was for the greater good. Tsukiyomi walked past two old rooms that stood beside each other....Tsukaia and Sasuno'o's rooms...Tsukiyomi laughed a bit as he realized the irony behind that. Tsukiyomi put his hands in his pockets and kept walking, lost in thought, things were boring for him since his wife left him also....Tsukiyomi started to think who had the better life: Sasuno'o, who loved a woman that loved him in return, the same man who did what he wanted and killed who he wanted to obtain a power that he had actually found as a result...or Tsukiyomi, someone who had loved a woman who only wanted his fame and wealth, and at the same time was still the youngest kid and a dropout who failed to protect the woman he loved.

Amaterasu just happened to pass by at that moment, humming softly to herself. She'd truly been missing Hei lately; it was hard to see each other often because of the secret and the fact that they were seperated by nations. She approached her brother, "Good morning," she said.

Tsukiyomi waved to her without looking up. Still lost in thought, he grunted as if trying to say goodmorning in return.

Amaterasu's brows pressed downward. "Hey," she called softly. "Are you okay, bro?" She paused next to him, bending downwards just slightly to catch his downcast eyes. "Did someone say something to you?"

Tsukiyomi smiled "No I'm fine..just thinking it's been pretty quiet lately...I kinda miss Sasuno'o in a way" he told her.

Amaterasu's expression softened. "Yeah, I see what you mean. I miss what he used to be. Even though he had his strange tendencies, he had some good in him. I wonder what happened..." she murmered.

"And I know what you mean also because... I miss Tsukaia too. She and I were like sisters, you know? To this day I wonder why she would choose Sasuno'o over me. Over her own mother and uncle. Her family? How could Sasuno'o betray us all? It's unfathomable."

Tsukiyomi sighed "I also miss my wife...Kiara.....but hey, she didn't want to care of a kid....it's her life" he said sighing "Besides...it means more bonding time with Kaji...as soon as he grows up more"

Amaterasu smiled. "Kaji is so cute! Don't worry, Tsuki. He's a trooper just like you. Kiharu's really sweet too." Unconsciously she placed a hand on her belly, slightly swollen. Would these two be firebenders or earthbenders? she wondered. Or both? She strongly hoped they'd be Firebenders, she wasn't ready for her and Hei's relationship to be revealed.

She hugged her brother. "We have a bright future ahead of us," she said. "There's no reason to be upset, Dear Brother."

Tsukiyomi smiled "I guess you're right...soons it's going to be the time for Noriaki and the rest of his generation to start entrusting the wills and traditions that we entrusted to them...as for us...we'll need to start fighting harder and giving it all to protect the king...that's what makes us old people cool see?" Tsukiyomi laughed as he look at Amaterasu "Hei is the father isn't he?" he asked.

As Amaterasu listened to her brother a wave of confusion swept over her. What was up with her brother and Kiari talking in riddles all the time. Of course, Tsukiyomi was more eccentric with his, but his speech was bemusing her deeply. He sounded so much like their father it was astounding.

"Hei is the father isn't he?" the man said suddenly.

Amaterasu felt her blood run cold. "What the hell? How did you know?"
