|CHARACTERISTICS|
Personality:
As a Nature Bender and one of the first Spirit Benders to learn how to wield the Holy Light, Liadrin was devout, faithful, and pious. She took pride in her role as a preserver of life and was content, guided by her King, the Spirits and the Spirit World. Though not disparaging of other races, Liadrin prioritized her own people's well-being, and considered it a positive thing for the Spirit Benders to have distanced themselves from the outside world prior to the Third Dark Nation War.

Liadrin's will was tested during the Ullondorian Invasion, in which her ability to wield the Light was hampered by the growing dread she felt at seeing the dragons and mages lay waste to her kingdom. Her ability to properly channel the Light began to falter in the face of these horrors, a crisis she blamed the Light itself for.

At first Liadrin was jaded and dispassionate by the Elemental Kingdom's destruction and its aftermath. She believed the Light, in its fickleness, had failed not only her, but the Spirit Benders too, and swore off its use, though eventually her friend and assumed lover, Keth Kalasar, reignited her devotion and encouraged her to join the Holy Paladins.

She also dealt with a great sense of guilt, having lost fellow citizens and subjects in the "Shattering" (including her foster father) whom she had respected and loved, yet had survived herself. Vengeful, Liadrin reinvented herself as a Paladin thanks to the help of Keth Kalasar, and dedicated her life to exterminating the Ullondorians.

Former Grand Master Tal'man believed that Liadrin's life had been led by extremities, from a pious priestess to a ruthless warrior. Liadrin found balance as the first General of the Emerald Crusade, allowing her to reconcile her two walks of life on her own terms. One trait that persisted from her days as a priestess was Liadrin's strong belief in the importance of unity, which she instilled within the Emerald Paladins.

Though ruthless in battle and possessing an intense hatred for most of the World's enemies, Liadrin is not without mercy (when appropriate), and advocates pragmatism.
