Personality: Being a Spirit Tiger, and being a tiger in general, Ash'Alah is incredibly protective of Tyrandé, Malfurion, and anyone they are close with. She is friendly with other animals, Spirit Animals and Spirits, but fierce to those she does not trust, regardless of their species.
When given the chance to warm up to someone, Ash'Alah is incredibly friendly to them, acting more like a big puppy than a fierce tiger. Ash'Alah enjoys hunting, being a tigress, and often hunts during her spare time.
Brief History Ash'Alah was found as a young cub by Tyrandé in the woods of Ashenvale "province" after she had arrived there with the rest of the Spiritborne. Young and abandoned, and slightly injured, Ash'Alah was taken in by Tyrandé and nursed back to health. Unable to find Ash'Alah's family, Tyrandé "adopted" the young cub, and made herself her "mother", naming her Ash'Alah, "White Fury" in the Spiritborne language.

|CHARACTERISTICS|Personality: Tyrandé is the passionate, compassionate, brave, wise and occasionally rash, leader of the Spiritborne people. As such she is also the former leader of the Spiritborne Sentinels. She is also the High Priestess of the Elounli, chosen by the Elounli herself, and worships them with total submission and adoration. She loves Malfurion Fal'moria, her husband, and will do almost anything to help or protect him.
Tyrandé is a caring soul at her core, and is willing to do anything to protect those she loves and is sworn to protect — which these days means the entire Spiritborne race. For what she has done for them, she is highly beloved by the vast majority of Spiritborne and referred to sometimes as "the shining light of our people." She is decisive, and may take courses of action that others find disagreeable, but always has the well being of Ashenvale at the forefront of her thoughts.
Illidan Fal'moria once observed that she looked like a goddess herself in her war regalia, a compliment Tyrandé was reluctant to accept, given her inherently peaceful nature. Tyrandé is in many ways the perfect avatar for Elounli: she is a caring and gentle soul when she needs to be, but is willing to do whatever it takes to protect her home and her people. Tyrandé was originally daunted by her task, but found the strength needed to adapt with the support of her beloved Malfurion.
She is highly suspicious of outsiders from other races, and only rarely volunteers advice or assistance to them. The most she will offer to do for visitors is to provide a small escort of archers or huntresses to guide them, as well as to secretly keep tabs on them and prevent them from despoiling her homeland in any way. As she grows to know outsiders better, she tends to open up more to them and can become quite friendly. She often develops a deep respect and camaraderie with anyone who fights side-by-side with her on the battlefield, and appreciates the assistance of strangers even if she doesn’t display or communicate that appreciation very well.
Tyrandé is a formidable foe and great hero, being one of the most powerful Spirit Benders in Ashenvale and a fearless warrior; not many that have crossed paths with her have lived to tell the tale. Tyrandé rides a mighty female Spirit Tiger named Ash'alah into battle. She prefers to fight in forests where she is most comfortable. She uses her speed and mobility to stay at range while peppering enemies with lethal bow shots. She uses her most powerful spells if severely outnumbered or the battle is going poorly.
When confronted by enemies, she never hesitates to attack and prefers to not let any escape alive. Her duty to protect her people from danger is greater than her own personal moral code about fighting with honor. If an enemy turns to flee, she will gladly take the opportunity to put a cluster of arrows deep in his back.
Personal Strengths: - Devout - Loving Wife - Strong - Compassionate - Devoted to her People
Personal Weaknesses: - Hatred of Outsiders - Mistrust of Outsiders - Believes the Spiritborne are Flawless
Hamartia: Her xenophobia and mistrust of outsiders. Personal Hero: None Dreams and Ambitions: To protect her people and lead them in a way that would make her husband, Malfurion, proud.
Likes: - Spirits - Animals - Ashenvale - Malfurion - Elounli
Dislikes: - Outsiders - Non-Believers - Those Who Abuse Spirits - Those Who Abuse Animals - Enemies of Ashenvale
Brief History: Tyrandé was born to a pair of the first humans created by Galamoth. Originally a test to see what life would be like on Earth, Tyrandé's parents and their first group decided to settle down at the foot of the World Tree in the Swamp of the modern day Earth Kingdom. Tyrandé was an only child, but had always been close to the Spirits and the Gods her family worshipped.
Growing up, Tyrandé was raised in both the arts of Spirit Bending, it being the first bending style, as well as the art of archery and how to be a High Priestess. The traits of a Priestess was seen early on in Tyrandé, and as the High Clergy were also warriors as well as defenders, shepherds and defenders of the gods they represented.
There was a ferocity that surrounded Tyrandé in battle, a ferocity matched be her devotion and passion for her patron goddes, Elounli. Tyrandé's compassion and affection, as well as her gentle softness was often juxtaposed with her fierce battle-maiden nature.
While training with her shared master, leader of the first humans, Lord Cenar, Tyrandé met the two men who would change her life forever. Malfurion and Illidan Fal'moria. Twins who were both strong and extremely disciplined Spirit Benders in their own right. The three of them grew close and became nearly inseparable. During their training, Tyrandé learned that Illidan was destined for greatness according to prophecy, and was the more liked brother.
Tyrandé, however, always found herself more drawn to Malfurion. His calm, quiet nature, and his silent, hard-working and devout nature best suited her own personality, and the two got along better than Tyrandé and Illidan, who was rash, sometimes arrogant, and too absorbed in his own powers at times to care for others.
Nonetheless, Tyrandé loved both brothers as if they were her own siblings, and the three grew and unbreakable bond. This changed slightly when, as they entered their teenage years, Illidan and Malfurion began to grow infatuated with Tyrandé, often vying for her attention in different ways. The two battled, sparring and competing in every way possible, aiming to gain Tyrandé's approval and love.
For so long Tyrandé rebuffed both brothers, saying they were too close to her to risk losing, but the brothers were relentless and did not give up. This continued into their early twenties. Around that time, Tyrandé, Malfurion and Illidan slowly became disenchanted with the Physical World, and sought to grow closer with the Spirits.
They knew the only way to do that would be to move to the Spirit World, found a new home, and bring any who wished to join them along. The human tribe was cut in half as those who followed Malfurion, Tyrandé and Illidan left to live in the Spirit World. These people became known as the Spiritborne.
The Spiritborne reached a largely wooded area lush with life and spirits, and after communing with the spirits and gaining their permission, they set up their new settlement and "province" of Ashenvale. Though Illidan is elected by the people to lead them, Malfurion and Tyrandé believe it is best to set up an oligarchy. The two of them team up with Illidan to lead the Spiritborne.
Tyrandé representing the High Clergy, Illidan as the elected leader and Malfurion communing to the people, nature and the spirits. The system worked for a long time. Then, Illidan confronted Tyrandé about who she would choose as a mate for life. Illidan gifted Tyrandé a flower. While touched, Tyrandé turned Illidan down. Tyrandé explained that while Illidan was strong and wise, and well loved, and a good prospective for a husband, Tyrandé's heart had and always would belong to Malfurion, the better of the brothers in her opinion.
This revelation crushed Illidan, and he fled into the Spirit Wilds to grow stronger. Though the Spiritborne searhced for Illidan, they did not stop their lives to find him after long. Tyrandé and Malfurion's love flourished in Illidan's absence and the two married and became inseparable. It was during this time that Tyrandé met Ash'Alah and took the young Spirit Tiger in as her own.
Illidan returned after many years. Warped and corrupted by the Old Gods, having drunk from the Well of the Old Gods. Illidan had gone mad with power and was driven insane, warped by the Old Gods and their whispers. Illidan sought to kill his brother and claim Tyrandé's heart by force. A great battle ensued, and Tyrandé and Malfurion battled Illidan alongside the spirits and their fellow Spiritborne.
The city of Ashenvale was nearly destroyed, and many lay dead in the carnage, but Tyrandé and Malfurion were finally able to bring Illidan down. While unconscious, the two lovers locked Illidan in a prison beneath Mt. Karabor, and guarded him with the strongest spirits and the strongest spells. Tyrandé then and there became a hero to her people.
Since then Tyrandé has continued her duties as High Priestess of Elounli as well as co-leader of the Spiritborne with her husband. Recently, Tyrandé has taken over full responsibility as the Protector of Ashenvale and the Leader of the Spiritborne, as her husband Malfurion has traveled into the Physical World after 10,000 years to see how they progress and to fight evil, and protect nature. Though she misses him, Tyrandé seeks to make her husband proud and serve the Spiritborne in a way reminsicent of him. | |
