Izanagi dodged her heel, and Alyssandra landed on both feet, crouched low in a stance like a cat ready to pounce. She scowled, upset that she couldn't land a shot. Then she shivered a bit as she saw what Izanagi was preparing. The stance and the ball of white flames was unmistakeable. Then, Alyssandra froze, as the white ball grew larger than normal and Izanagi raised it above his head and made it grow to three feet in diameter. She had never seen a Nagareboshi so large, and no doubt, so deadly, and he scared her. But she calmed her mind, let her fear and doubts flow out of her like a river, and prepared to defend.

There was no defence though, none that she could see, so she switched to dodging, and she ran. Far and fast. And not a moment too soon, as the white flames exploded and engulfed half the ring. Alyssandra dodged it, but tripped as soon as she was far enough. From the ground, she saw the flames light up the entire stadium. It was the middle of the day, but it looked even brighter. The flames bathed the world in a heavenly white light that shone across every corner and crevice of the stadium until there was no shadow left. Then, as it died away, and left nothing but some burning patches of sand, and giant patches of glass where the sand had melted, and as it did, Alyssandra struck the unsuspecting and tired Izanagi, shooting a bolt of lightning right at him, hoping he'd be too slow and tired to dodge, redirect or block.

Izanagi watched in astonishment, though it was hard to do much else while he was so exhausted from the attack, as his sister dodged--and just barely--his attack. Few had ever dodged the Nagareboshi; defended themselves from burns, blocked out the flame perhaps, but few had retreated so far so fast. She had spirit and determination and it was finally paying off. All of her screw ups and failures earlier in the fight were rectified in that one dodge. Tripped or not, she had escaped, and she was preparing to counter attack. Izanagi sunk into a stance, panting heavily as he felt his limbs grow cold from the cold sweat that began to cover them. He felt his legs quiver from exhaustion. He needed to rest or eat something soon. If he didn't finish this match in the next few moves it might finish him. One thing was for sure, no more big moves like that, maybe not for a while after even.

Not until he perfected it. Alyssandra prepped a lightning bolt, and Izanagi prepared to redirect it, but at the last moment his vision blurred and he stumbled where he stood, and all Izanagi could do was stand there like a target and watch as the lightning raced towards him. There was a crack, a boom, and ramming pain in his shoulder followed by a burning. The smell of singed clothes and burnt flesh, and worst of all the smell of iron that could only be found in blood. Izanagi was on the ground, looking up as the spinning sky. His shoulder was burnt, his clothes burn and torn open where the lightning had hit him. Flesh burnt, blood gently oozing from the wound. Izanagi ignored the pain, smacked both his cheeks with his hands and looked at his sister as he stood up. His focus slowly returning from those few moments on the ground, and the pain of his wound keeping him awake with its constant throbbing, Izanagi preparing his own bolt of lightning, and aimed right for his sister's left knee.

Alyssandra smiled triumphantly as her brother took the hit to his shoulder. It definitely did more than just singe him, as she could smell the charred flesh and fabric from across the arena. Izanagi gasped as he took the hit, then hit the ground and lay there for a few minutes. There was silence across the entire crowd and the whole of the arena, as everyone waited to hear of the Crown Prince was still alive and conscious. Even Alyssandra waited silently, as the only sounds that seemed to be audible to hear was the sound of fabric sizzling as it burned slowly, the edges of where the lightning had hit light embers that went out every few seconds. Then the sound of the wind, and finally Izanagi exhaled and stood up. With renewed vigor--or at least enough to keep him awake--he slapped his cheeks to wake himself up, and energize himself. He looked at Alyssandra, with a smile, a challenging smile that was proud of her, but also going to take her down. Izanagi was going to do his best to win this; just as Alyssandra was.

He followed up her lightning bolt with his own, and lunged forward, pointing two fingers at her stomach, aiming there as he shot a bolt of lightning at her gut. Alyssandra went to redirect, but missed and the lightning struck her and sent her flying back. Her robes around her stomach were singed like the one's at Izanagi's shoulder, and as she looked up at the sky, she exhaled. Then, understanding Izanagi's renewed vigor and where it came from--as it was hard to relax when your flesh and clothes were charred or smouldering--Alyssandra shot up and run towards her brother. The two locked in close combat again, and Alyssandra and Izanagi were evenly matched, equally tired and extremely determined. Then, Alyssandra jumped up as Izanagi jumped back, raised her right leg high above her head, flame covering her foot and heel, and brought her heel down as she fell, aiming for the crook of Izanagi's neck.

Alyssandra jumped into the air, aiming to bring an axe kick down on his clavicle. Izanagi smiled, raised his hands, and caught her calf in his hands. Alyssandra landed, awkwardly at first, but recovered quickly, landing on the ball of her right foot, her left raised high up in the air as Izanagi held on to it. Izanagi praised her on her recovery, but it would not save her from his next attack. Stepping backwards, Izanagi held tightly on to Alyssandra's leg, and threw her across the ring. As she flew through the air, attempting to recover from the throw, Izanagi followed up with several bursts of flame. Shooting them in rapid succession like rockets from his waist, palms opened.

The blasts of white flame arced through the air, flying right towards Alyssandra as she fell. Would she make it? If not, the flames would burn her, but not for long anyway. While she was struck, Izanagi had planned it so that she would land in a pool of water. It was mercy enough; for his sister at least. It almost began to hurt Izanagi for damaging his sister so much, yet at the same time, it was exhilarating to enjoy an all out fight with his sibling. It was better than actually trying to kill each other, and it took his mind off the future possibilities of where this fight could lead...

Alyssandra's leg was caught by her brother as she brought it down on his neck. It never reached his target though. Izanagi didn't hold her for long, as he stepped back and spun, throwing her through the air. Alyssandra few across the ring, and began to plummet down towards the water pool meant for Water Benders. Izanagi wasn't about to throw her to the ground; for that much she was a bit grateful. Then Alyssandra understand why he was aiming for the pool; it wasn't just out of mercy, it was out of practicaity--and perhaps a greater mercy than Alyssandra initially understood. Izanagi had followed up the toss with several flaming projectiles, like white arrows flying towards her. They honed in on Alyssandra like bees to their nest, and she panicked a bit, then prepared to evade. Streamlining her body, Alyssandra pointed down at the ground straight as an arrow, and blasted fire from her hands and feet, propelling her towards the pool faster.

As soon as she hit the water her fire died out, there was a massive splash, and Alyssandra held her breath as she waited below while the flaming projectiles bounced off the surface of the water, rocking it like a violent storm. Alyssandra could hear the hiss of the flames as they doused themselves against the water and turned to steam. The perfect cover, Alyssandra swam to the surface to find the entire stadium covered in a thick fog. For this she was grateful, and lucky. Jumping from the water as silently as she could, she snuck up to Izanagi, and as she approached him, covered her hands with electricity and went to strike him with a palm at the center of his back.
