It has a metal chamber in its string covered head, in the chamber there is a bell of peculiar metal, it resonances with the chi and makes sounds, it would be easier if the user is a naturebender, a trained mind user, but Astra is not, and she has a hard time making it speak for her, which produces only soft whispers.
