How I Proposed

it was easter.
i invited her to my grandmothers house
we always have easter there.
i bought a ring with crosses on it (she now wheres a clauddaugh)
i also bought plastic gold eggs.
i told her i ha a surprise for her so she needed to come
now we are deathnote fans and she LOVES chocolate
so i built her a baskest with a lot of chocolate and an L plushy
she said later that she thought i was going to ask her to marry me until she saw the basket
i hid the ring in the gold egg and taped a printed message on the outside in latin (I will translate later)
i had her stay inside while i helped hide the eggs. i hid hers in a pine tree
when we went hunting i made sure that the kids were led elsewhere while i led nisha along the back of the property where i hid the egg
i made sure that she found it.
when we went through the eggs (we usually trade to get the egg we put our names on) i had her read the message
she asked what it said and i dropped to my knee
"It says will you marry me" i told her
she froze up a little (she is a little shy and at the time she was surrounded by my family)
and no she did not say yes

Lindsey ^^ : WHAT?!

she said "um... ok"
she didnt say yes until about a year ago when i asked her again.
we are trying to have a medieval wedding but the funds are not easy to get
i had to scrape the money together just to be able to get her a new ring when she accidentally lost the ring
she is beautiful. especially when she is in the red kimono i bought her
i try to make her happy but that is never easy
i want kids but we are waiting until we are wed
