Reading- Kaeda considers herself a bibliophile because she has always loved and still does love reading anything that she gets her hands on.

Writing- Kaeda loves writing anything from nonfiction to fiction and even essays.

Singing- Kaeda’s voice is what keeps her strong. She loves to sing and she is actually pretty good at it!

Dancing- Kaeda loves dancing! It is one of her outlets of self-expression and she uses the little “airbending” that she knows to keep her light on her feet. Dancing is the closest to flying that Kaeda can get because her parents don’t want her uses the glider in her staff. Apparently, it’s “too dangerous!”

Practicing Airbending- Kaeda embraces airbending as a passion and tradition, even though her parents were non-benders and they find bending annoying. Although her parents don’t approve of it, Kaeda often sneaks out of the house to teach herself basic airbending.

Quirks: Sadly, Kat has been diagnosed with multiple metal illnesses throughout her life. First came the anxiety. This doesn’t normally affect her unless she has one of her rare anxiety attacks. These only last a few minutes and basically consist of her just being dangerously excited and fidgety. Next was psychotic depression. Kaeda has been doing wonderfully beating her depression, and it won’t affect her unless she happens to relapse. In the case of a relapse, Kaeda would become very down, more antisocial than normal, and even, in severe cases, suicidal, although she knows better than to act on those dark thoughts. Kaeda is also “radically honest”, which means she is completely honest to those around her, even if the honesty that she has to share isn’t all that polite.

Hair: Curly, wavy, light chestnut brown hair that falls just below her shoulders and always gets very frizzy. She almost always wears it down.
Eyes: Small, round, chocolate eyes.
Height: 5’ (Yes, she is very short for her age)
Clothes: Kaeda wears traditional orange and yellow airbending robes.
Skin: She has smooth, somewhat pale skin. Her hands and feet are callused from writing, dancing, and musical instruments.
Body Type: Slender, but with a very muscular body. She has broad shoulders and prominent hips. Very rectangular on her upper half and very muscular on her bottom half.

|CHARACTERISTICS|

Personality: Kaeda is a very deep person. She is also very insightful and mature for her age. Because of her maturity level, many people that she meets think that she is older than she is. She is extremely honest, caring, loyal, and trusting. Kaeda never has problems trusting people, so that makes it easy for someone to manipulate or use her. Deception, on the other hand, doesn’t work well with her at all. It is nearly impossible to trick her, and if she catches you trying to deceive her, she will be severely offended. She enjoys the arts, and is extremely fascinated with bending, especially since her parents don’t expose her to it, and having lived in the Eastern Air Temple all of her life, Kaeda has never seen any other forms of bending, even though she is more than aware that they exist. Kaeda is extremely intelligent and she loves meeting new people and making new friends. She is more than happy to help with others’ prblems, and she is naturally generous. Although she is most definitely a goody-goody-two-shoes, Kaeda also has a rebellious streak when it comes to what she believes in. For example, she “practices” bending against her parents’ wishes.

Personal Strengths:

Reading People- Kaeda is naturally empathic and she can easily understand and read others’ feelings and emotions. She can also tell if someone is lying.

Self Expression- Kaeda has a need to express herself and will fight for what she believes is right.

Morality- Kaeda is naturally a moral and ethical person. When someone wants her to do something that is wrong, she can normally tell that it is a bad decision. She only has to choose whether or not she goes through with the activity.

Personal Weaknesses:

Manipulation- Kaeda trusts almost everyone she meets and is very gullible at times, making it easy to manipulate and use her.

Indecisive- Kaeda is extremely indecisive, and when it comes o making a difficult decision, she panics quite a bit.

Stress- Kaeda is easily stressed out and irritated.

Hamartia: She would protect her friends, family, and nation with her life.

Dreams and Ambitions: She wants to get out and see the world. Maybe she can make a difference somewhere. She wants to change the world and be remembered, but until she gets that chance, she wants to meet some benders and live her life to the fullest!

Brief History: Kaeda was born into a quiet non-bending family in the Eastern Air Temple as the eldest child of three. For her entire life, she has dreamt of far away places and people, and she longs to see the world, but she knows her parents would never allow it. They are very over-protective and they find bending quite annoying, especially because Kaeda is the only bender in her family. Her siblings make fun of her bending, but Kaeda doesn’t let them get to her. She loves her bending and often sneaks out of her house to test out different things.
She also considers running away to see the world, but doesn’t know how she’d survive. She has no idea what is out there or what kinds of good and evil live outside of the air temple. She needs that little extra push to inspire her, maybe even a friend who would journey with her. Kaeda wants to change the world, and one day, she will.
