I had just read the plot, and it says there is a lot of turmoil at the moment, with citizens rebelling .
I was thinking if allowed to start up a group /order of rebels.
They would believe what they are doing is right, and it must be done, as something has come over them. Something unknown, and dark.?

Realistically speaking, an empire as unfathomably massive as the Vermilion Empire wouldn't have just ONE group of rebels. Plus, rebels don't tend to be the most united... why have just one sect of rebels? Maybe opposing factions could increwse player involvement in the plot, without having to make a character exclusively FOR the plot?

Just an idea. Thoughts?

I agree with Tsumi with this one, if a large empire gets a rebellion by a group, other secret groups will take advantage and rebel with them. Strength is in numbers.

I was planning on having Jonathon starting a rebel group as part of his character now that we've time skipped...

But, by the same token, each group should have a form of moderation to it. The specific groups should go through some kind of application and moderation process, as well as approval from Kouzai, to make sure it goes along with the plot well enough.

Again, still ideas, nothing's official until Kouzai approves it, so don't get too excited. Razz

I like the idea of more than one rebel group. It makes a lot of sense. Plus I'm always in favor of anything that gives people more creative freedom.

A forum I used to be one a couple of years ago had a pretty great system for group creation. If you guys are interested in finding a model to base your system on feel free to ask.

It doesn't work with the plot planned out ahead, also we already have quite a fair bit of groups on the site. As I've said before, we're cutting down on them until further notice. My final answer is no.

Kouzai, don't take this the wrong way and while yes you are the owner, this is kind of mean. While yes there are a lot of groups going on right now, most of them are very small, 5 or 6 characters max, which is pretty limiting. Plus, you sort of sprung the whole Biju group out of no where, especially since everyone was still waiting for the elemental warrior plot to start up, and while yes there is a main plot going on right now that we've time skipped, why can't there be a little rebel group? It wouldn't have to get involved with the main plot at all, there could just be a topic here or there with a bit of anarchic merriment. The rebel group could happen and never even get involved with any part of the main plot, it'd just be something the people not involved in one of the big plot groups could do now that all of their pre existing characters are 15 years older. Once again, no offense to you Kouzai, just an idea.
