|CHARACTERISTICS|

Personality: Tahyir is almost always worried. He insitst on leaving the kingdom in better shape than when he "inherited" it. He works with planners constantly, and feels he must always improve something. He is always looking for more advisers to assist him.

Tahyir is a dreamer, constantly off in another world where life is less busy. He knows he brought the work upon himself, but he still wishes he had less of it.

He has a bad habit of hyperventilating when he feels overwhelmed, which is sadly often. He hates himself for it too.

He knows he will probably never be able to leave the palace in his state, but he longs for adventure all the same. He's always wanted a group of friends like Aang had, with a member of every bending form and a non-bender or two to keep the party sane and on task. He often hires his advisers following this pattern, annoying the council to no end.

Brief History: Tahyir has almost no clue how he was put in charge of the Air Kingdom, but he intends to use his time to the full advantage.

He was always very interested in the Air Monks of old, and is trying to bring back their influence to the world. He spends much of his free time meditating, but it does little good because he always has more work to do when he finishes.

He truly idolizes Avatar Aang, and wishes to become just like him. He heard stories as a child about the adventures of the avatar of 700 years ago. He loved the stories about Aang bringing back balance to the world and how he defeated the evil Ozai without killing him.

As a child Tahyir pretended to be Aang, insisting he was the next avatar and that he would make new Air bending moves too. Though he wasn't the avatar, he did make a number of original air bending moves, and practiced them daily.

He honestly wants to take a week or two off sometimes, but his lifestyle doesn't allow for it. He has befriended others of different nationalities, listening to any account of life outside his temple like it was a matter of life or death.

He has great sympathy for those less blessed, and will help the needy whenever he can.
