Cold Air

Kya looked at him in confusion. True, she did have a knack of finding directions and solving mazes, but she'd never done the library, or any place like it.
Surprising herself, she nodded. "Yes." She heard herself say. She looked at her old map, then the new one. There was no library there. She took a deep breath, then followed after Nanuq.
"Okay, I'm trusting you, instincts, just don't make me regret it." She prayed to herself.

Nanuq smiled and escorted the girl to the library as quick as he could; weaving through the crowds of people at the same time until finally the library was in sight. Its walls providing shade once more from the rays of the sun that loomed over head; "Here we are" Nanuq proclaimed as he entered and immediately felt a rush of cool air. "Love the smell of scrolls, don't you? Each containing untold amounts of knowledge and wisdom..well..some of them anyways. Some are complete rubbish" he joked with a grin as he entered further into the library, glancing back to check and see if Kya was still following him, "Much better than staying out there huh?" he asked her as he walked over to a shelf and pulled out a scroll and read over it. Writings and vaguely drawn pictures describes various ancient libraries and myths that each of the nations once believed in and might have had; this sparked Nanuq's imagination, "Ever wonder about those myths of endless libraries containing vast knowledge about every single time period found in the deserts of the world?" he asked, his eyes still focused on the scroll.

Kya only nodded, thinking about the crowded shops and pathways. And everyone needed a way to get somewhere. So many travelers came to Ba Sing Se.
The huge library loomed over her.
