A Quick Patrol

The frigate was smoking through the vents. Shen looked from the deck out into the sea. "Looks like a storm is coming men." Shen said to a NCO on the deck. "Yes sir." Said Li. He was Shen's corporal since Shen has been in the Fire Nation Army. "I hate how there arn't enough naval officers now." Shen said sighing. "And that, me, a army Officer has to command a frigate." He said sighing. "Yes sir, it is a shame your tactical genius can't be used somewhere else." Li said.

The storm rolled in and Shen went to the bridge to oversee the travel through the storm. Shen's friend since his childhood, Zhao Min came to Shen. "Sir." He saluted. Shen turned to him and said. "Calm down we have been friends since birth you don't have to adress me as such." They shook hands and preparred for the storm.

Will was flying through the air feeling superior to all, he always felt like this when flying. As an airbender he had gotten a glider staff. Will often just flew far distances for the heck of it he just loved to fly. He noticed a black cloud in the distance he thought it was a bad idea but he decided to check it out. He flew over to it, it was a thunder storm. He thought he should land but he was far out in the ocean and could not land without drowning so he kept flying. About ten minutes later he was struck with lightning luckily it did not him but his staff. Right then and there he went hurdling down towards the water unconscious, he was helpless...

Shen was looking at some charts and paperwork in his office on the ship. About 10 minutes later the door came flung open "Sir there is someone in the water!" Said Li. Shen got up and ran down to the deck of the ship.

Shen saw the man floating the the water. The storm was ragging harder than before. Shen turned to his men. "You all get the ropes ready, I will be right back." Shen commanded. SHen ran to the side of the boat and launched himself in with his firebending. He swam up to the man. Shen grabbed hold of him and tied a rope from his body the mans and swam back keeping the unkown man's head above the water. Shen reached the ship and got him onboard. "Take him to the medical ward quickly!" He commanded. Shen headed to his quarters to change out of his wet clothes.

After what seemed like seconds but had actually been a couple hours Will woke up... He was confused "Where am i...? All i can remember is i was flying and then this..." He used his airbending to launch himself off the hospital bed. He wandered out side to check out where he was... Will saw the fire emblem on the boat and quickly realized he was rescued by some fire nation sailors. "Hello? Is there anyone i could talk to, to tell me where we are heading...?" Will asked around.

A deckhand walked up to him. "Follow me." He said. He lead the person up to the office of Shen. "In here." He said. "So what are you doing all the way down here Airbender?" He asked picking up the destroyed glider and setting it on his desk.

"Well i was on my way to visit a friend Eclipse, he is a firebender." Eclipse explained. He had hoped to see Eclipse all month and he couldn't wait to see him again but he was now sad that he would have to postpone that... "By any chance would it be possible for my glider to get fixed here?" Eclipse asked with hope in his eyes.

Shen rubbed his chin for a while. "Well I doubt it, we don't have the material." Shen said. "Where does your friend live?" Shen asked.

"Well that stinks, He lives on ember island."Will said hoping he could some how get there. he hadn't seen Eclipse in a long time but he had really hoped he would.

"Actually, I am headed there." Shen said. "I am going there to drop off some supplies." Shen said. Shen grabbed some papers. "Now Li here will show you to your room and some fresh clothes." shen said. "Oh by the way, my name is Shen, Lieutenant Shen."

"Its a pleasure to meet you, Shen." Will said and the followed Li out the window. Well thats lucky that he is going to ember island...
