- Mae is, how should I say this nicely? Desperate. It's hilarious! Mae craves for her 'one true love', so to speak, and thinks every male her age is her soul mate. Of course, this an lead to some very unfortunate instances. Mae focuses heavily on the 'trial and error' part of it all.

Hair
A short, blonde cut that is very wispy and has the tendency to look damn near white in the sun. Mae dislikes her hair, which is way she makes sure it never gets to her shoulders. A lot of people feel that the short cut accentuates her already childlike appearance, but Mae will have it no other way.

Eyes
Mae has her mother's eyes. Round and as blue as the midwinter sky.

Clothes
Mostly a faded white dress thrown haphazardly on her short frame. Typically Mae dons gowns in the more traditional peasant tan shade, although she's very fond of deep reds also. Despite her love of short hair, Mae is very feminine and loves making herself look presentable.

Skin
Tan skin for being in the sun half her freakin' life. Gotta love them Jersey Shore tans!

Body Type
This girl has hips! I swear her waist is so big yet her butt is so prominent it's ridiculous. Mae thinks her body doesn't give her much leeway when it comes to maneuvering and being lightweight, but it certainly helps her in her *cough* romantic endeavors.

Personality
Relatively shallow, Mae does not initially come off to most people as very impressive. A slight girl, with short blonde hair and a quiet disposition, most of her true self stays broiling within the confines of her mind. Her poor, poor hectic mind. Mae's brain is teeming with ideas and thoughts, all branching off into similar tangents and musings so odd they can traumatize you for weeks. Mae is weird and boy, does she enjoy it.

The 'shallow' aspect of people's first impressions typically stems from Mae's fantastical views of the universe. She seems impervious to any kinds of misfortune, and she's far from being down to earth. Therefore, she fits everyone and everything to a certain criteria. Her true personality is hard to take in fully within the first few minutes of meeting her. In truth, Mae is rather delightful, should you choose to look past her awkwardness.

Brief History
Mae has had a rather typical life and childhood. Her mother and father were several years apart, but fell in love nonetheless. Being the second eldest and the second girl, there was much love and responsibility placed on Mae firsthand. For instance, she was to help with the maternal chores, such as feeding the flying bison, cooking and cleaning.

The revelation that she was a bender came when she stole her father's air glider after watching him soar effortlessly through the air. Of course, her efforts to fly were tragic, at best. She slam-dived about a kilometer before she was able to right herself and control he air currents. Her near-death experience shook her for the rest of her life.

Her parents had anticipated their children might start showing some skills sooner or later, but Mae had only been eight at the time, but she had managed to successfully bend regardless.

Since then, Mae has been told it was imperative that she practice her magic day in and day while also balancing her chores and school.

Now, Mae daydreams that she may somehow meet a soldier to carry her away .. to become her true beloved and to protect her. Mae is neither for or opposed to the war. The revelation of the new world had shocked her, and the news of the evil Magicians surprised her all the more. Mae assumed they were weaker and would be wiped out quickly enough, and she feels relatively safe in her temple.
