Hair: Medium-length brown hair, with a ragged, unkempt look. It curls slightly around the edges, yet doesn’t cover Nelekar’s ears.
Eyes: Eyes of the deepest blue, the colour of the ocean in an unpolluted world. Heavy-set eyebrows give a piercing look to the eyes.
Height: 5’10”
Clothes: A blue water tribe tunic on the top with light brown cotton pants on the bottom. A Water Tribe belt lies around his waist, adorned with the emblem of the Northern Water Tribe. Fur-lined boots keep his feet warm in the icy winters.
Skin: Olive skin.
Body Type: Skinny, but not to the point of unhealthy-ness.

Brief History:
Nelekar was born in the Northern Water tribe to a regular family – his father was in the Water Tribe army, and his Mother helped out in the healing huts around the tribe. Nelekar, however, had a gift – from an early age he could Waterbend with the best of them, sometimes competing with benders twice his age – and coming out on top.

Before long, however, Nelekar’s strength led to arrogance – he would never do any of the physical work that the other Water Tribe males did; instead he would practice his bending under the tutelage of the Masters of the Northern Tribe. But then, everything changed.

On a routine expedition into the tundra around the Tribe, Nelekar’s father was killed. A huge polar bear attacked their hunting party and slaughtered all but one man, who crawled back to the tribe to tell of the misdeed.

Nelekar, confident in his abilities, went out into the tundra to find the bar. And find him he did – the bear was huge, many times larger than Nelekar. But he was cocky and arrogant, and so Nelekar did not flee. Even with his advanced water bending, it wasn’t enough to hold off the bear. Time and time again the mighty paws beat at Nelekar’s body, and just as the last swing was to come down, he heard a scream.

His mother had followed him out into the wild, afraid of what had come over her child. Her figure stood now between boy and bear, blocking his destructive path. And then, the claws came down. Nelekar was alone.

Anger bubbled within him. How could this happen? His previous pain forgotten, he rose onto his feet, blood dripping from his wounds. Letting out an almighty roar, he stood up tall, arms out wide. At that moment, he felt something that he had never felt before – the presence of others within him.

His eyes flashed completely white, and then Nelekar blacked out.

He awoke far from his home, in a bed he did not recognise. The Water Tribe had taken him far to the Western Water Temple, the temple build in reverence of the Avatar. And there, he was told his destiny – he was told of the things he could do, the things he had to do.

The news changed him forever. Not only had he lost his parents, but he had lost his life to maintaining balance, as well. A calm swept over the boy, and after training with the sages at the Water Temple, he began to appreciate the world as it was, to follow the ebb and flow rather than create disruptions.

He learnt to be the Avatar.

Where is this Western Water Fortress? I'll approve the app but change the Water Fortress thing. He has to be living in a place that currently exists on this site. Unless the fortress is a location in the water tribe?
